　巨大なバンドに成長した「Pink Floyd」の原点をこれほどまで丁寧に表現している点に感謝したい。従来（私も）は、「Pink Floyd」と言えば、「原子心母」や「狂気」などのアルバムから入り、「過去にはこんなポップチューンも演奏していたんだ」という程度にしか初期（シド・バレット時代）のアルバムは評価されていなかった。唯一、他のアーチストには聴けない奇妙なサウンドには、多くの人が魅せられていたと思う。しかし、「ピーター・ホワイトヘッド」監督の資金提供により１９６７年１月１１日にデモ・セッションした「Interstellar Overdrive」（１６分４６秒）と「Nick's Boogie」（１１分５０秒）の映像は貴重です。ファーストアルバムに収録された「Interstellar Overdrive」よりもアドリブが長く、セカンドアルバムのイメージが強い。
もう１曲の「Nick's Boogie」は、既にセカンドアルバムの表題曲の原形（アルバム曲よりもテンポは遅いが、DVDの「ライブ・アット・ポンペイ」でギルモアがギターを置いてボトルネックで演奏するアドリブを、シドは「ライター」を使って演奏している）が視られる。
　よく言われる「ファーストアルバム」と「セカンドアルバム」は別のバンドが演奏しているようだ！という感想は、これを見れば撤回せざるを得なくなるでしょうね。実際「セカンドアルバム」にはシドが作曲した「シー・ソー」なども収録されており、バンドの過渡期であった事は明らかです。昨年、６０歳で天に召された「天才シド」の才能に、ロジャー・ウォーターズならずとも気が付くでしょう。
　ファン必携！なお、この２曲のＣＤもついている事。このフィルムドキュメントには「Ｓｇｔ．」時代を彷彿とさせるジョン・レノンの姿も映っています。
