Album Details

Japanese pressing features two bonus tracks, 'Club Tropicana' on disc one and 'Kissing a Fool' on disc two. This three CD pressing of the 2006 collection celebrating George's 25 years as a recording artist, both solo and with Wham! Features a bonus disc that contains an additional 15 tracks including hits, album tracks and one additional new track, 'Understand'. He has been British Pop royalty ever since he took the charts by storm with Wham! in 1982. He's been a solo star for over 20 years, achieving huge international success, selling over 80 million records worldwide with hits like 'Faith' and his most recent acclaimed album Patience. He has since been hailed as the Most Played Artist on British Radio in the last 20 years! Features plenty of hits pluse four new songs including the recent radio favorite 'An Easier Affair', 'Heal The Pain' (a duet with Paul McCartney) 'Understand' and the brand new single 'This Is Not Real Love', a duet with Mutya Buena, former member of the Sugababes. 46 tracks. I Want Your SexとかIf I Told You ThatやMonkeyが入ってない。なのにPatienceの14曲中13曲が収録されてるってどういうことだ？Patienceってそんなに評価の高いアルバムじゃないはずなのに。Round HereとJohn and Elvis are DeadとFlawlessとShoot the Dogはいらない気がする。For the Loyalに収録する分ももっと工夫できたと思う。Queenとのコラボが入ったＥＰからのSomebody To Loveを入れるとか。George氏の歌が素晴らしいのは勿論だけど、この収録内容はちょっと違うんじゃないのかな〜っと思います。

このレビューを書いている時点ですでに発売から半年経っていますが、最近購入したCD達よりもよく聴いています。新曲はもちろん、ファン歴の短いぼくにとってFANTASYやUNDERSTANDのようなアルバム未収録曲が入っているのが嬉しいです。たとえ一時期ほかのアーティストにハマッても「あぁ、やっぱりあなたが1番好きだ。」と、聴くたびに思わせてくれるアルバムです。現在アマゾンでは在庫切れですが、お店を探してまわる価値は十分あると思います。

Ladies And Gentlemenから早くも8年。正直、またＢＥＳＴかと思ったが、彼のファンなのでこの限定版は買う。最近またお騒がせな彼だが、昔の曲だろうがカバーだろうが何でも良いのでとにかく歌い続けてほしい。そして、このＣＤと同タイトルのツアーを欧州だけではなく、是非に日本で見せてほしいと思う。（今回、その可能性は高いそうですが）彼の才能に星五つ。
