ダリル・ホール&ジョン・オーツは、８０年代のディスコシーンを飾ったヒットメーカーでしたね。
彼らの数あるヒット曲の中でも、このアルバムオープニングのマンイーターは最高にイカス名曲です！！
ファミリー・マンもカッコイイ作品です。
ポップなイタリアン・ガールズも大好きです。
正しく、油の乗り切った彼ら絶頂期の最高傑作アルバムだと思いますよ！！
ボートラには、ヒットシングル３曲の嬉しい別テイク収録です。
３曲とも聴かせるリミックスですが、
やはりマンイーター(12”バージョン/スペシャル・エクステンデッド・クラブ・ミックス)
の出来が最高ですね。
８０’ｓファン必聴、必携の名盤ですよ！！

あれ？　確か『H2O』のジャケットは皮膚の汗のアップだったハズじゃ…。ふたりがにらみ合うのは裏ジャケットだったような記憶があるけど。
それはさておき、本作は、Hall & Oates最高傑作アルバムとして推薦したい。

サックスのイントロがめちゃカッコイイ「Maneater」、都会的ミディアムテンポな「One on One」、ダリルのシャウトが熱い「Family Man」（マイク・オールドフィールドのカバー）と、名曲が揃っている。
それ以外にも「Crime Pays」「Go Solo」も悪くない。さらに、ジョンが歌う「Italian Girls」までもごきげんな1曲に仕上がっている。
というわけで、ほとんどがアタリ曲なのだ。
『モダンヴォイス』や『プライベートアイズ』に比べ、ポップ色はやや抑えられたことで、全体を通じて聴きやすくなった。さらに、曲自体も粒が揃っており、聴き応えのあること受け合い。

このアルバム後は、エフェクトに凝った曲づくりになるので、そういう意味では、ポップス路線のHall & Oates集大成のアルバムである。
