植村花菜の6枚目のシングル≪光と影≫がリリース!今作≪光と影≫は12月21日発売予定のPSP用ゲーム・ソフト『テイルズ オブ ザ ワールド レディアント マイソロジー』の主題歌のために作られ、ゲームのストーリーから浮かんだイメージを元に作られた新曲!シンプルなサウンドだが疾走感のある楽曲が完成!カップリングにはゆったりと流れるサウンドが心地よいナンバー「月のない夜」を収録!プロデューサーには前作と同様 澤近泰輔氏を迎えた壮大感が漂うアレンジに植村花菜のピュアでまっすぐな歌声がより心に響きます。

【アーティストについて】
映画「サウンドオブミュージック」のジュリーアンドリュースに憧れて、8歳の時にシンガーになることを決めたという彼女。ギターを始め、作詞・作曲に目覚めて、関西の路上で頻繁にライブを行うようになる。その後10ヶ月足らずで何の気なしに応募したストリートミュージシャンのオーディションで、いきなり1200人以上の中からグランプリを獲得、これがきっかけで、2005年5月亀田誠治プロデュース楽曲「大切な人」でメジャーデビュー。続いて同年9月にリリースされた「ミルクティー」と2作連続で全国FM局でのパワープレイを大量に獲得。2006年1月4日自身の誕生日に1st ALBUM「いつも笑っていられるように」をリリース。2006年3月29日にはユーミンの名曲「やさしさに包まれたなら」をカバー。その済んだ空気のような伸びやかで真っ直ぐな歌声とは聴く者の心を癒す。

何故なのだろう。
何故辛いときに植村花菜の声を聞くと、こんなにも優しい気持ちになるのだろう。

…おそらく彼女は本当に歌が好きなのだ。
歌を歌うのが好きというだけではない。
歌う人と聞く人の作り出す「歌の世界」、
歌に包まれた空間そのものを愛している。
そうでなければこれ程に聞き手の心を満たすことはできない。

今回の二曲でも彼女の元気と優しさに触れることができる良作に仕上がっている。
仕事や日々の苦しみを溜め込み、帰ると部屋の隅でため息が絶えない方々、
植村花菜は本当にオススメする。　　「優しさ」の補給、是非体験していただきたい。

シンプルで少し切ない感じのメロディーがＧＯＯＤ。
単に心地良い響きがするだけの英単語などを一切使わず丁寧に書かれた詞と、ボーカルの表現力とが一体となり、歌に込められたメッセージが本当に良く伝わってくる。
アレンジがいかにもゲームの主題歌という感じで「ん？」という気もしたが、曲全体を通しアコースティックギターの音がしっかりと主張していて、花菜さんの音作りへのこだわりが感じられる。
個人的にはカップリングの「月のない夜」がツボ。自分にとっての植村花菜の魅力が「ギュッ」と詰まった素敵な曲で、心にしみて泣けた。

今、一番気になるシンガーソングライターの第６弾シングルです。

年末年始には東京・大阪でのホールコンサートも控え、
ほぼ同時にニューアルバム＆ＤＶＤ発売! と彼女の素晴らしさを知る絶好のチャンスです。

とにかく彼女の魅力は「生の声」。
こんなにも全身で歌う喜びを発散させる歌い手を、僕は知りません。

是非、買って、聴いて、そして彼女の歌う場所に足を運んでみてください。
きっと暖かいやさしさに包まれること、間違いなしですよ。
