今回、マルチテープからのトラックダウンにより特別に再現された「西部警察メインテーマ」のＴＶ使用ミックス、新たに発掘された「ダイナミック・シチェイション（別バージョン）」、「みんな誰かを愛してる（ＴＶサイズ）」など、タツのいた時代が一番気に入っている私には、待ち焦がれていた音源が収録されいました。
また、ＰＡＲＴVタイショー登場後に使用された「ワンダフル・ガイズ」の再現版や「時間よお前は・・・」・｢勇者たち」ＴＶサイズなどの新規発掘曲だけでなく
既発売曲もデジタルリマスタリングされており、ファン必携のアルバムです。
ブックレットには、「ＲＵＮＮＩＮＮＧ　ＦＩＧＨＴＥＲＳ」などは効果音なしバージョンが発見されず収録を断念。このアルバムが好セールスを記録し、メインテーマのようにトラックダウンによる再現の企画に発展を願う・・・・との製作者のコメントがありました。

TVと同じオープニングテーマである「管弦楽器＋トランペットによる、メインテーマ」を初収録！
なんと放映開始以来、30年もの間にリリースされた、サントラをうたっている全商品(レコード、CD)の「メインテーマ」は、
すべてTVとは違う「弦楽器による演奏」でした。
30年弱、待ってやっと入手することができます。
これを、TVサイズ、フルサイズで収録。（なぜ、これまで無かったかは、ブックレットに説明されています。）

初収録曲、未CD化挿入歌を中心に、ベスト選曲を、2枚組み、最新デジタル・リマスタリング(音質の再調整)技術で収録してます。
全32ページのブックレットには、高柳氏(石原裕次郎氏の歌と「西部警察」サントラのプロデューサー)の貴重なインタビューと、
曲解説、番組データ、全話放映リストを掲載、加えてカラーページではサントラLP、挿入歌EPのジャケットを紹介。
放映終了から20年以上経過しても、今なお新盤がリリースされる人気シリーズ『西部警察』の世界を存分に味わえます！！
（新シリーズが事故で中止になったことが今でも惜しまれます。）

「西部警察メインテーマ」は、これまでメロディをエレキギターで演奏したバージョンしかでておらず、放送時のバージョンはテレビ用に作ったんだろうと思っていました。
しかし、ついにやってくれました！テレビバージョン、ちゃんとあるじゃないですか！欲しかったのはこのバージョンだったんです。

他にも、追跡シーンでよく流れていた「ダイナミックシチュエイション（別バージョン）」や、「通り雨」等の挿入歌といったこれまで欲して得られなかった曲も収録されているので、これはファンなら間違いなく買いでしょう。

またPART2のテーマ曲は、「ワンダフルガイズ」だけでなく「サラブレッド」も候補に挙がっていたということで、短く編集したバージョンもあったりして興味深いです。
