ブル５番を聴いたのはこの朝比奈シカゴが初めてでした。演奏が素晴らしかったので朝比奈隆指揮の大阪フィルや他の指揮者でヴァントVPOなどいろいろ聴いてみたのですが、やっぱりこのDVDで受けた感銘は格別のものがあって、また帰ってきてしまうのです。なぜこのDVDなのか自分なりに分析してみたのですが、どうも日本人が好む「間」があるんですね。ひたひたと心のひだに染み入ってくる心憎い演出が実に自然に入ってくる。またシカゴが上手いんです。金管の音量だとロシアのオケが有名ですけど、音が割れちゃって美しくないことも多いんですがシカゴの金管アンサンブルは一糸乱れぬ一体感と統制とど迫力のバランスが素晴らしい。最後のコーダがとにかくカッコいいんですよ。あまり残響がないのですが、オケのサウンドそのものがとてもいいですね。美しいし、迫力満点なんです。日本のオケでは朝比奈さん独特の間を楽しむことができるのですが、オケの持つ上手さは正直ちょっと物足りないこともあります。このDVDはそれらのあれとこれを一緒にするといいな〜が一緒に揃った感じなのです。

ほんとにホールの残響が悔やまれます。
皆無に近いですね。笑
ここまで残響のないホールも、珍しいのではというほど、残響がありません。

ただ、それにもかかわらず、演奏がすばらしい。
シカゴ響は、必死に音を出していますし、残響さえあれば･･･
･･･もう言ってもしかたないですね。。

この演奏がすばらしいかどうかは、最後の聴衆の熱狂ぶりを見れば一目瞭然です。
この演奏を生で聴いた方々が、絶賛するのですから、ＤＶＤをみた私たちがあれこれ言うのは、全く無意味というものでしょう。
それに、録音も、良くはないですけど、そこまで悪くもありませんよ。
私は、最後の和音が鳴り響いた後、泣いてしまいました。笑

買ってみて、肌に合わない方もいらっしゃるでしょうが、ちょっとでも興味ある方、あなたの一生の宝物になるかもしれません。
ぜひ、購入して戴きたいＤＶＤです！！

以前NHKで放送されたものが、音声、画像共に悪かった。
しかし今回の発売でそれらが改善されれば嬉しい限り。
僕は朝比奈を観るよりも、シカゴを聴いている。
ハーセス、クレヴェンジャー、フリードマンが
凄いパワーで演奏している。シカゴファンは必見!!!
