ファンタジー映画として、彼女や子供さんと一緒見て下さい。
とても寒いクリスマスに起こったメルへンや親子の愛情いっぱいのストーリーで、
雪も溶けちゃいそうです。
いや、ホントにパパの雪だるまが溶けてしまいそうになって痛々しいほどです。
なんでもかんでもＣＧで処理されてしまう映画が多い中で、
とても自然に必要性のあるＣＧの使い方がされていて、見ていても楽しいです。
バットマンでも有名になったマイケル・キートンの違った一面が見られます。

冬が近づくと観たくなる映画があります。
それは、「ジャック・フロスト~パパは雪だるま」です。ストーリーを紹介しましょう。
ロックバンドのボーカル、ジャック・フロスト。ある日彼は事故に遭い、愛する妻ギャビーと息子チャーリーを残して逝ってしまった・・・。
しかし一年後、奇跡が起きる！彼はチャーリーの作った雪だるまとなって復活したのだ。
チャーリーに語りかけ、一緒にホッケーやスノボーをし、これまでにない楽しい時間を過ごすジャック。
しかし体は、暖かくなるととけてしまう雪だるま。最後にチャーリーとの本当の別れが待っていた・・・。
という何ともユニークな作品なのですが、観終わると感動の涙があふれ、何だか優しい気持ちになれるのです。
父親を亡くし、心沈んでいたチャーリーが雪だるまになって復活した父ジャックに励まされ、たくましく成長する姿に感動するのです。
ぜひ、家族そろって観てほしい映画です。
この作品の登場人物は誰も、誠実なアメリカ人として描かれており、彼らの人間性に深く共感を覚えます。
アメリカのホームドラマには付きものの愛犬もいて、お約束と言わんばかりの活躍をします。
そして何と言っても必見は、雪だるまの豊かな表情や動きです。
とってもユニークで、楽しい場面の連続です。
きっと、子どもたちも笑って泣いて、大切なことを学んでくれると思います。
何かで落ち込んだ時など、きっと勇気を与えてくれるでしょう。冬に観たい心あたたまるボクのお気に入りの映画です。

妻ギャビーの吹き替えを島本須美さんがやっていますが、この声がケリー・プレストンにすごくマッチしていて個人的に大好きです！！

私は以前この作品をTVで見て気に入って、今回DVDを買いました。死んでしまった父親の魂が雪だるまに宿り、生前はあまり構ってやることのできなかった息子と遊んだり、必殺技を教えたり（息子はホッケーチームに所属）、悩みを聞いてあげたりします。姿は違えど中身はパパ。二人はもう一度愛情や友情を育みますが、雪だるまは暖かくなると融けてしまう。限られた時間というのは哀しいけれど、だからこそ味わえる感動があります。私にとって、この家族はまさに理想の家族です。また、余談ですが、子供たちによるスノーボードでの滑降シーンは圧巻です。
