Parsons himself digital remastered all his catalog albums reissued in 2007 using the original master tapes. The difference in sound quality is amazing-each sounds absolutely fantastic. ＡＰＰの最新リマスターシリーズ第２弾がやっとこさリリースされました。
当初の発売予定からほぼ一年ぶり。いやぁ首を長くして待ちましたよ！！
今回は、この「ステレオトミー」と「ピラミッド」「運命の切り札」の３枚です。
さて、「ステレオトミー」は、初期のＡＰＰにもどった実に硬派なロックアルバムなのです。
「ステレオトミー」とは、ファーストアルバムのコンセプトだった
エドガー・アラン・ポーの作品からの引用で、正しく原点に帰ったということなのでしょう。
また、それまで続いたエリック・ウルフソンのボーカルで大衆受けするポップロック路線から大きく転換しています。
ウルフソンのメインボーカルは１曲も無くなりました。
しかしながら、かつてのプログレ的ＡＰＰサウンドのコアファンにはとても魅力的な作品となっています。
特に、Urbania、Where's The Walrus?という２つのインスト曲の出来は素晴らしいです。

で、今回のボートラは４曲と少な目ですが、結構イケてると思いますよ。
10. Light Of The World (Backing Track)
同曲のボーカル無しインスト曲です。完成までのデモ的な感じ。
11. Rumour Goin'Round (Demo)
初クレジットの曲。ギターがカッコいいインスト曲です。スキャットで軽く歌うのはウルフソンでしょうか。
最終的にアルバムから外した曲なのでしょうね。
12. Stereotomy (Eric Woolfson Guide Vocal)
これは貴重。ウルフソンがデモ的にボーカルをとるステレオトミーです。サウンドはほぼ完成に近い感じ。
13. Stereotomy (Backing Rough Mix)
「Sterotomy Two」のボーカル無しバージョンですね。

以上、今回もＡＰＰファンにはたまらない貴重なボートラ収録でした。
残り３作品も年内リリースを期待しましょう！！

前の方もおっしゃってるように今回は米国盤ではありません。
ウチに届いたのには「MADE IN GERMANY」のシール貼ってありました。

輸入盤なので日本語の訳詞つきライナーはありません。
そもそもライナーに歌詞がまったくありません。
かわりにボーナストラック4曲、オリジナル版の元になったラフミックスと思われます。
レギュラートラックと聴き比べると完成形までの変化をうかがい知る事もできて興味深いです。

猶、歌詞については
パッケージ裏面に公式サイトのURLがあるので、そこにアクセスして
「Albums」のコーナー内の「Lyrics」のコーナーで入手できます。
APPの作品は演奏や効果音もさることながら
欧米らしからぬくらい歌詞に重要な役割があるのでぜひともチェックを！

[from US] [Import] と記載がありますが、実際届いたCDはEUプレスです。USA嗜好の方ご注意を！！ また、ブックレットは充実しておりますが、歌詞は載っていません。
