1st Album リリース後、新人としては破格の注目度で数々のFes.(2006年1月:ブリティシュ・アンセム/2月:スペシャ列伝/4月:ジャパン・サーキット/8月:ロッキングオンジャパンFes./ サマーソニック)に参戦、2006/9/9 にはインディーズ・バンドとしては最速スピードで渋谷クラブクアトロでのワンマン・ライブ"All, Always, Walls" を行い大盛況だったNICO Toches the Walls。2006 年ブライテストホープとして抜群の存在感を見せつけてきた彼らがその勢いをさらに加速させるかの様に早くもNew Mini Album をリリース!

【アーティストについて】
2004 年4 月 光村龍哉(Vo&Gt)・古村大介(Gt)・坂倉心悟(B)でバンドを結成。同年7 月に対馬祥太郎(Dr)が加入。YAMAHA TEENS MUSIC FESTIVAL2004 に出場し、優勝に準ずる賞を獲得。2005 年からライブ活動を本格的に行う。その繊細で色彩感覚豊かなバンドサウンドと変幻自在且つ圧倒的なライブパフォーマンスは瞬く間に話題を呼ぶ。2006 年1月8 日には下北沢club251 にて音源未発表ながら初ワンマンを行い250人を動員。同年2月2日に1st mini ALBUM 「Walls Is Beginning」を発売。2006年9月9日には渋谷CLUB QUATTRO にて2度目のワンマンとなる「All, Always, Walls」を敢行。

アボガドをきちんとしたＣＤ音源で聴きたくて購入しました。
デザイン・歌詞カードともに赤に統一されていて格好よく、鑑賞用にも優れています。
世間を皮肉ったような、まさに「ロック！」という印象を受けたのですが、
それだけでなく、「梨の花」のような音の綺麗なバラードもあって、
基本スタンスを貫きながらも幅広い楽曲を聴かせてくれるバンドだなと思いました。
他の曲は聴きこんでいないので、またレビュー追加するかもしれません。

「夜の果て」「Who are you?」を経てこちらに行き着いたNICOファンの私としては、何とも言えない泥臭さ（いい意味でね）に惚れ惚れしてしまいました。伸びやかな声で引っ張る瑞々しくて荒削りなロック、といった感があります。全7曲ですが、それぞれ色合いの違うNICOを感じさせて飽きさせません。
「梨の花」は前から気になっていた曲ですが、切なくて大好き。ついつい繰り返し聴いてしまうお気に入りです。光村くんのラヴソングってちょっと弱気な男心を描いたものが結構多いのですが、それがまた声の個性と絶妙に合う感じですね。
NICOはこれからガンガン伸びていくバンドと確信していますが、そのルーツとなる要素が満載のこちらのミニアルバム、買って損なしですね！

1stは「只管突き進む」といった感じだったのですが、2ndはめりはりもあって、より聞きやすくなりました。

何度も繰り返し聴くうちに、何時の間にか馴染んでるといった感じです。

どの曲も良いのですが、最後の「僕がいなくても地球はまわってる」はNICO Touches the Wallsの新境地にして名曲、そんな感じがしました。

是非聴いてみて下さい。
