グランド・ファンク・レイルロードの記念すべき第１作。私は大好きです。１曲目の「アー・ユー・レディ」から勢いがつきます。さらにライブで常に演奏されることになる「ハート・ブレイカー」もこのアルバムに収録されております。全体的にコンパクト＆タイトな出来でかつポップス風味が添加されており、その後のＧＦＲのイメージにある大音響ハードロックというものではありません。もともとの作品の出来がいいのでライブでガンガンやってもだらけなかったのだと再確認しました。ジャケットの真ん中におりますマーク・ファーナーの顔がいいですね。馬に乗って荒野を駆ければ「ダンス・ウイズ・ウルヴズ」の世界です。
