前作のような重苦しさはなくなって、透き通った世界を堪能できる。毎回作風を変えてきている彼ら。今までで一番明るいアルバムかな。それでもdeftonesらしさは失っていない。

今までのすべての作品に関してだけど、僕はdeftonesをわかりにくいだなんて全然思わない。深い音楽知識は持ち合わせてないけど、それでも理解できる音楽だと思う。もっと、日本でも聞かれてほしいバンド。

重力から解放されたような雰囲気。アルバム出すことに違った表情を見せているが今回もかつてない新しいタイプの音に。そして今回注目出来る点としてかつて各アルバムに一曲は必ず入っていた「Headup」「Elite」「When Girls Telephone〜」のような類の超攻撃的な曲が3曲入っていること(2,8,10曲目)。それもただ攻撃するだけでなく休止やメロディを少し入れることで一定調子の退屈感を軽減していてスピード感も増していて聴きやすい。また、インストゥルメンタルの曲(6曲目)や女性ボーカルの朗読を入れた曲(9曲目)などもあって多彩なアルバムになっている。また、全体的な印象としてメロディがかなり強調されている。また、「Minerva」や「Be Quiet〜」のタイプの曲(5曲目)にはシステム・オブ・ア・ダウンのサージがゲスト参加していて時間と空間を歪めたようなその声の使い方も素晴らしい。
また「Hole In The Earth」の、宇宙船にゾウアザラシが乗ってるPVがなかなか面白い(笑) 最後には地球が消えてしまいます!
まあ総合的に見てとても良いアルバムだと思います。

いやー、やってくれたねー、これまた偉い名曲揃いで、たまらないでしょ？え？笑

前作のアルバムをスゲーけなしてた奴等や良くないなー、ってほざいてたアホな人たちはこのアルバムを聴いてどう思ったのか気になるなー。

前作。あれはどう聴いても完璧でしょ？
あれほどへヴィネスを追求したアルバムはそーないと思うぜ。
良さがわからなかった奴は何十回も聴けばかやろー！って感じだ。

しかし今作はジャケが際立ったね〜。
満点◎
