前作「rEVOLVEr」でメタル・コアに一歩歩み寄った彼らの、続く5th。
今作ではさらにメタル・コアの比重が強くなっている。

序盤こそ彼ららしいアップ・テンポな曲がみられるが、中盤以降はミドル・テンポでメロディに比重を置いた曲が並ぶ。
M-6、M-10、M-12あたりはKillswitch Engageを連想させるメタル・コアサウンド。
低音とリヴァーブを効かせたビッグ・ロックなサウンド・プロダクションは90年代のMetallicaのようで、
ミッド・テンポの曲に奥行きをもたせるのに一役買っている。
また、PeterのVoは実に表情が豊かで、クリーン・ヴォイスやウィスパー・ヴォイスとメロディ重視の楽曲にうまく合わせている。

アルバム全体のクオリティとしては決して悪いものではないが、ファンが彼らに求めるサウンドとはずいぶん
かけ離れたもののように思う。
また、前作はメタル・コアの要素を取り入れることにより、さらに自分たちのサウンドを昇華させることに成功していたが
今作では正直彼ららしさを殺してしまう結果となっているように感じた。
