原点に立ち返り、中島みゆき自身の中にあり、またファンが求める"中島みゆきの王道"を素直に表現したアルバムです。書き下ろしの新作オリジナル・アルバムとしては「恋文」(2003年11月発売)以来、約3年ぶりとなる作品。「ただ・愛のためにだけ(岩崎宏美提供曲)」、「あのさよならにさよならを(華原朋美提供曲)」、「宙船(そらふね)(TOKIO提供曲)」「Clavis―鍵―(工藤静香提供曲)」といった既にテレビドラマの主題歌等で使われ耳馴染みのある曲の中島みゆきバージョンに加え、今までの作品では聞くことのできなかったユーモラスな曲「とろ」、そしてアルバムのラストを飾るタイトル・チューン「ララバイSINGER」は、デビュー曲「アザミ嬢のララバイ」のコール・アンド・レスポンス的な曲。中島みゆきが様々な声で、様々な表情を表現した曲が集まったアルバムです。

【アーティストについて】
札幌市出身。'75年「アザミ嬢のララバイ」でデビュー。同年、世界歌謡祭「時代」でグランプリを受賞。'76年アルバム「私の声が聞こえますか」をリリース。現在までにオリジナル・アルバム33作品をリリース。アルバム、ビデオ、コンサート、夜会、ラジオパーソナリティ、TV・映画のテーマソング、楽曲提供、小説・詩集・エッセイなどの執筆と幅広く活動。日本において、70年代、80年代、90年代、2000年代と4つの世代(decade)で、チャート1位に輝いたアーティストは、中島みゆき、ただ一人である。

最初から、聞いていて、「お月さまほしい」になると、みゆきさんの歌唱に、毎回、涙が出てきます。そして、次の「重き荷を背負いて」の”がんばってから死にたいな”
の歌詞には、生きる希望を感じ勇気が沸いてきます。
そして、ラストの「ララバイＳＩＮＧＥＲ」、この曲は、歌詞、曲、アレンジ完璧です。
この曲を聞いていると、涙がとまらなくなり、号泣してしまいそす。
この曲はフランス人に聞かせてあげたいほどのシャンソンです。
以前、彼女がフランス人では知らない人はいないと言われていた、パトリシア・カースに提供したが「かもめの歌」を超えています。ぜひまた、パトリシア・カースに歌ってほしいと思う
世界に通用する大作だと思います。

ファン待望のオリジナルアルバムであり、渾身の力作です。
私は通常、アルバムは一通り聞いた後シャッフルして聞くのですがこのアルバムには
『流れ』のようなものがあり、どうもシャッフルして聞くよりそのまま曲順通りに聞いたほうが
より良く感じるのです。今までのアルバムにはほとんど見られなかったことです。
今年一年通して一番オススメできるアルバムです！

他の方も書いていますが、いきなりスリーフィンガーの弾き語りで始まるあたりが以前のアルバムらしくてとても好感を持ちました。最近のアルバムは全部夜会の方向に引っ張られていて、まあそれも悪くはなかったのですが、アルバム全体としてのできで勝負という感じでしたので、今回のようにそこから抜け出して一曲一曲のクオリティで勝負できているのがとても好ましく思えます。
何となくみゆきさんは恋をしているのかな、それもとても良い恋をしているのかな、そんな予感さえ感じさせるアルバムです。「予感」とか「寒水魚」あたりのアルバムが好きだった人には是非聞いていただきたいと思います。
