主題歌を歌うのは主演の長澤まさみ。劇中役「星泉」名で、かつて薬師丸ひろ子が歌い大ヒットを記録した「セーラー服と機関銃」(作詞:来生えつこ 作曲:来生たかお)を歌います。

長澤まさみさん主演のTBS系ドラマ「セーラー服と機関銃」の主題歌。
劇中の星泉としてのリリースですが、とても懐かしい曲です。
“原曲のイメージを受け継ぎつつ'06のビートを取り入れた…”
ときいていて「あまりあの原曲の雰囲気を壊さないほうが…」
と思っていましたが、実際聴いてみると自然でよいアレンジでした。

薬師丸さんが歌っていたオリジナルの方は透明感があり
どこか寂し気というか憂いのある歌声・表現力が魅力的でしたが
こちらはピュアな歌声と爽やかで初々しい雰囲気が印象的。
よい意味でオリジナルとは違った新鮮さがあります。
長澤まさみさんの声が思った以上に素直で心地よく
原曲のイメージを壊すことなく彼女の個性が出ています。
ドラマの方も今後の展開が楽しみだし将来性を感じさせる方ですね。

屋上屋を重ねる評になってしまうが、ＤＶＤの中身はひどかった。裏切られた、なんてありきたりな表現ではとても足りないぐらい。ガングロのヤマンバが不気味な笑顔（？？？）で現れたときには吐き気すら覚えてしまった。こんな酷いものをくっつけて割高な値段で売りつけようとは・・・。絶句。
せっかくの長澤まさみの初々しさや清楚なイメージが台無し。歌のＣＤだけなら、ジャケットデザインも良いので、５つ星を献呈しても惜しくなかったのに。

長澤まさみの歌声はとても良く楽曲と合っていて気にいったが、全く特典は意味わからん。同じ映像のショートとロングバージョンが入っとるだけ。せめて、まさみちゃんをもう少し流すかTVの名場面を流せば、ドラマDVDの宣伝にもなるだろうし、CD自体もっと売れただろ!制作サイドのセンスのなさにたまげた!!
