ゲームとしての面白さは、確かに面白いです。
ですが、このゲームは２００６年度版で有ると言うことを忘れないでください。

つまり、出てくるサラブレットも２００６年度版なら、レースプログラムも２００６年度版です。宝塚記念が京都で、神戸新聞杯・ローズＳが中京で行われます。
さらに、改装された新しい阪神競馬場が目玉になっていますが、それも、１２月のみです。
つまり、桜花賞は旧阪神競馬場で行われます。

少し萎えました。

ギャロップレーサーは１の頃からずっとやってますが、シリーズの中で私的に７が一番やり込めたのでそれが2006年度版になり、レースと馬が増えてこの値段は絶対お得ですね！７は操作が難しいとか言われてますがそんな事はありません、慣れれば簡単です。途中やる事がなくなって少し飽きがきますが、四歳以降のエクリプスの背中に乗れば再びのめり込めます笑。8については前作の8自体が私的に残念なできだったので本作ではやってません。でもどちらかの作品で一度はまった人なら絶対オススメの作品ですね。

７と８では、レース中の馬の操作感覚が異なるため、同時進行は少々やっかいです。
どちらかに割り切って、片方はおまけ、と思った方が良いかと。

８自体の雰囲気は悪くないと思います。
が、操作感覚は違うわ、馬の動きはなんか機械的になってるわ（まあ所詮ゲームなんですが）、
同程度の能力の馬が、ありえない速さで他馬が仕掛けてくるわで、単体としてはイマイチ。

自分の場合、７が好きだったので、
７をメインに操作感覚も７に統一、８の内容を７のおまけという感じで良かったと思います。
それでなくても最低限、操作感覚は同じにして欲しかった。

アーケード版からギャロップレーサーのファンだっただけに、
８の後にこの抱き合わせは正直ガックリ。
次回作に期待したいのですが…。
