１は、リズムがおもしろく、ゴツゴツしたロック・チューン。荒削りなまま前に進んでいくという意味では、ウェラーらしい曲かもしれません。山登りのときに歌う曲のよう。
２は、他人との共作。アコースティックで穏やかな曲。この曲がいちばんの聴きどころかも。
３は、『アズ・イズ・ナウ』収録曲のアコースティック・ヴァージョン。ということなのですが、もともとアコースティックな曲。最後のほうのサイケデリックな部分をカットしたことで、すっきりしたのですが、オリジナルからほとんど変わっていないという印象を受けました。クレジットを見ると、2006年となっているので、オリジナルのアルバム・ヴァージョンをいじったのではなく、新録ではあるようです。
まあ、やっぱり、ウェラーはジョン・レノンの曲をかなりカヴァーしているだけあって、ジョンのものと同じ才気を感じさせますね。
もうヴェテランなので、そうそう楽曲に意外性はありません。ウェラーの名前で買うかどうかです。
