   キアヌ・リーブスがSWAT隊員のジャックに扮し、スリル感満点ののノンストップアクションを展開する。重傷を負った運転手に代わって、免許停止中にもかかわらず大型バスのハンドルを握る。この見かけとは逆の強い女を演じるのは、サンドラ・ブロックだ。そして執ような爆破犯には、嫌な男を演じさせたら天下一品のデニス・ホッパーが扮している。監督は、これが第1作目のヤン・デ・ボン。撮影監督時代の流麗なカメラワークを生かし、文字どおり息をつかせぬ緊張感あふれる傑作を作りだした。（アルジオン北村）

10年以上前の映画なので、映像品位はまあまあといったところですが、
音は「すごい！」の一言。
この映画は元々音声に定評があり、それを存分に味わうことができます。

月並みですが、もはやＤＶＤは比較対象になりません。
早くロスレスの本領が堪能できるプレーヤーが欲しいものです。

一足お先に、米国版BDを入手し、視聴しましたが、映像、音声とも素晴らしい出来です。
映像コーデックはMPEG4 AVC、音声はDTS HD 5.1 MASTER AUDIOです。
MPEG4 AVCの映像はMPEG2よりも高画質であることが実感できます。これから出てくるBDもMPEG4 AVCで制作してもらいたいです。
DVDやTV等で何回も見ていますが、まるで別の映画を見ているかのよう。大興奮できます。
これは買って良かったです。

14年前の映画ですが、画質はなかなかいいのではないかと感じました。

音質については、たいした機材もないので
ステレオアンプでの視聴ですが、音のヌケはいいんじゃないでしょか。
古い映画だとこもった感じがしたりしますが
そんなことは全然ないですね

なんにせよデニス・ホッパーの鬼気迫る演技が迫力満点です。
何回見てもこんなにハラハラする映画はなかなかありません。
Blu-rayにもってこいだと思います
