今年１００回目の武道館コンサートを予定している矢沢永吉ですが、これが初の武道館ライヴでした。武道館周辺には機動隊の装甲車が並び、暴走族が走り回るという厳戒態勢の中で行われ、開場と共に館内が歓声で一杯になるという異常に熱いライヴでした。未収録ですが、本当の２曲目は「カモンベイビー」、アンコールには「ファンキーモンキーベイビー」「ルイジアナ」も演奏されました。「Ａ ＤＡＹ」で流れるストリングスはシンセサイザーではなく、本物のフルオーケストラで曲の途中でステージの奈落から現れて、会場が壊れる位の歓声が沸き起こりました。終了後、アリーナ席の椅子は全壊という壮絶なライヴでした。その後も後楽園・武道館など多数、矢沢のライヴに行きましたが、この武道館ライヴこそ矢沢永吉の最高のライヴだったと信じています。これを知らない人に矢沢を語って欲しくないくらいです。

5.0 out of 5 stars 矢沢ロックの原点ここにあり, 2009/9/3
永ちゃんの記念すべき第一回目の日本武道館公演です。さらに言うならば日本のアーティストの中でも初の日本武道館公演だったのです。
ソロになってほぼ２年、I LOVE YOU OK、A DAY、ドアを開けろ、と３枚のアルバムをリリースし1975年の中野サンプラザ、1976年の日比谷野音を成功させ観客動員数も増え続け、満を持しての武道館だったのです。
とにかく矢沢ロック炸裂とでも言いましょうか、ファンにとっては懐かしくもあり、３０年経た今聞いても新鮮な感覚で楽しめる稀有なアルバムだと思います。
ちなみに私は、「矢沢永吉ヒストリー」という古いビデオも引っ張り出して、その中の武道館公演映像も見てしまいました。
