ショパンの作品でメジャーなものが収められています。完成度は高く、全て満足できる演奏です。特に幻想即興曲、夜想曲が良かったです。1000円なので、お買い得だと思います。ヴァーシャーリのCDはなかなか無かったので、ファンの方はお待ちかねだったのではないでしょうか。

　タマーシュ・ヴァーシャーリはハンガリー出身のピアニストで、若き日にゾルタン・コダーイの薫陶をうけた教え子でもあります。
　ショパンやラフマニノフといったロマン派の音楽をレパートリーにしていて1960年代にグラモフォンからLPレコードを何枚も出していました。
　わたしの学生時代に名曲喫茶でよくかかっていた人気ピアニストですが、近年はすっかり過去の人になってしまったようで淋しいかぎりです。
　いまあらためて聴きなおすと、あるいは、これといって突出した特徴のない優等生的な演奏の物足りなさをおぼえるかもしれませんが、この抑制が適度にきいた気負いのなさこそ、まさにヴァーシャーリの品格といえるのではないでしょうか。
　折にふれてくりかえし聴いて、水のように飽きがこないうつくしい演奏だとおもいます。
　これでたったの1000円とはお買い得。
　クラシック音楽の初心者にも無難にお薦めできるスタンダードなショパン名曲集です。
