私はベルリンフィルの音色が大好きです。カラヤン＆ベルリンフィルによる悲愴。これが1000円で聴けるというのは信じ難いものがあります。

カラヤンは悲愴を７回録音しているとのこと。５回目、71年のベルリンフィルとの爆演、あるいは最後、７回目のウィーンフィルとの演奏が特に人気が高いようですが、私はこの76年ベルリンフィル版が最もしっくりきました。

71年版（EMIから販売）の激しさは私にはうっとうしく感じられ、ウィーンフィルとの演奏は「枯れた演奏」とよく評される通り、少し大人し過ぎるように感じられます。

この６度目の演奏は迫力もあり、カラヤン＆ベルリンフィルならではの、統率がとれテンポも小気味良く、洗練された美しい音色を聴くことができ、最も万人受けするバランスの良い演奏ではないかと思います。値段も1000円と信じられないほど安いですし、クラシック初心者の方にも安心してお薦めできる一枚ではないかと思います。

私が作成した"リストマニア"リスト「民主党とマスコミから日本を守るために」も参考にしていただけますと幸いです。

言うまでもなく、チャイコフスキーの名曲中の名曲である「悲愴」ですが、
数々の演奏を耳にして、ＬＰ時代から１０数枚を購入し愛聴してきました。
カラヤンの演奏もド派手なＥＭＩ盤、枯れた魅力のウィーンフィルとの最後のもの、
今、改めてカラヤンの芸術を６０年代７０年代８０年代と聴き直し、
ＣＤも買いなおして聴いています。
この７６年当時のベルリンフィルのアンサンブルの完璧さは惚れ惚れします。
そして磨き上げた「悲愴」の美しさ悲しさに感動しなおしました。
そして、たった１０００円でこの名盤が買えるとは驚きです。
チャイコフスキー入門者には絶対この１枚をお勧めします。

カラヤンによる悲愴の第３楽章は大変情熱的であり、重厚なサウンドを私たちは楽しむことができるでしょう。
そのような演奏が好みの方にはぜひお薦めしたい素晴らしい演奏です。

しかし、第３楽章はト長調によるスケルツォと行進曲であります。
優雅さと諧謔さ、軽やかさ（この例えは少し言葉選びが悪いかもしれませんが）という観点からすれば、カラヤンの演奏は元気が良すぎる、ガシガシ猛進する行進曲のようにも聞こえます。
もし、優雅さと諧謔さ、軽やかさを重視するのであればムラヴィンスキー／レニングラードフィルの演奏を薦めます。

もちろん、ほかにも名演奏はあることと思います。

いろいろと聞き比べをして、一つの曲の解釈の多様性を楽しむのも面白いかもしれません。
