『蒼き流星SPTレイズナー』や『ガサラキ』で知られる高橋良輔原作によるリアルロボットアニメ第1巻。百年戦争末期、兵士キリコ・キュービィーは突然の転属命令により小惑星リドにおける秘密作戦に参加する。第1話「終戦」から第4話までを収録する。

バララントとギルガメス。ふたつの星系が砲火を交えて100年が経った大戦の末期。ギルガメス軍の兵士キリコ・キュービィーは味方の研究所を襲撃し、そこで“素体”と呼ばれる軍事機密を目撃する。その事がきっかけでキリコは追われる立場となり、地獄のような放浪生活が始まる…。1983年からテレビ東京系列にて放送されたSFロボットアニメ。第1話「終戦」から第4話「バトリング」までを収録。

ジャケットが書き下ろしなのと、脆いデジパックじゃないのは嬉しいですが、20年以上前の作品なのに4話収録で6,000円はボッタクリです。放映中のウルトラマンは特典映像付きで3,800円で出してるじゃぁないですかバンダイビジュアルさん。大好きなメロウリンクがバップ様からの発売で幸いです。

ＤＶＤメモリアルボックスを買い逃した僕にとっては嬉しいことです。
放送が開始された当時はまだ７歳でしたが、衝撃的な映像は今でもよく覚えています。そのときは当然そのストーリーの奥深さを理解できるわけもなく、ただただ戦闘シーンの凄さに圧倒されていました。
（戦闘シーンのない時はつまらなかったなー）
あの頃はガンダム、ダグラム、そしてボトムズのプラモデルモをたくさん作り、塾（公文式）仲間と公園で戦闘シーンを再現しては作品を破壊してとても悲しい思いをしたことを覚えています（笑）
あれから23年が経ち、今の僕がこの『装甲騎兵ボトムズ』の世界観をどう観ることができるのか、そしてあの頃の自分と当時の友達を思い出せそうで凄く楽しみです。

テレビ放映当時の我が家にはビデオなんて代物がなかったので、学校から放送時間に間に合うよう、走って帰ったことを思い出します。
ということは、人生でやっと「２度目」の視聴なのですよ。うれしいなぁ。全部そろえるとなかなかいいお値段になりますが、「またボトムズが見れる」ということがうれしくて即買いです。
メカよりも人間ドラマに惹かれてずっと見ていたので、フィギュアがついたＤＶＤメモリアルボックスより、純粋にＤＶＤだけというのが好ましいです。
