第10話「また、夏が来る」 この話は、今後の物語に大きく影響するエピソードだと思います。守凪了子という今までは、キョウの幼なじみでしかなかった彼女に大きな変革をもたらす序章であり、リョーコが見つけたディスクと「また、夏が来る」の意味が後にキョウに重くのしかかってくることになる。そしてリョーコの考えた自主制作映画のシナリオ・・・ 第6話から物語が始まり、この第10話で加速し始めたのではないのかと思う。

この巻の見所はなんといっても「残るまぼろし」でしょう。
もはやドライダメージもウェットダメージも修復が難しいアークに襲い来る死という恐怖。
いや、厳密に言えば「消滅」なのだが、例えプログラムであっても自我を持ち生きようとする意思があるかぎり
それは「生きている」と言えるのだから「死」と表現した方が正しい。

また、舞浜でのクリス夫妻の思い出作りは事情を知っている者には見てて何ともやりきれない感じが強いです。
特にクリスにはそれが強く圧し掛かっています。
そして最後の戦場ともいうべき所でクリスはアークのためにある一つの決意をします。
しかしアークは・・・

この話で上手いと思ったのはクリスの残される者としての痛みがとてもリアルな所だと私は思います。
彼の悲しき叫びがその悲劇に拍車を掛けているのですから。
観ているコチラも思わずクるものがありました。

「消されるなこの想い　忘れるな我が痛み」
そのテーマ性が垣間見えた巻だと思います。

第９話「ウェットダメージ」
第１０話「また、夏が来る」
第１１話「残るまぼろし」を収録。

最初の大きな泣き所ともいえる、第１１話「残るまぼろし」（脚本 関島 眞頼）は必見。
身をすり減らして戦う傭兵クリスとアーク。
その二人が最期の戦場として選んだオケアノスにはシズノがいてキョウがいた。
言葉には出来ない、切なさ大爆発なエピソードです。

第１０話「また、夏が来る」（脚本 村井 さだゆき）は特殊ＥＤで歌が違います。
大多数の方は曲を替えてほしくはないと思っているでしょうが、次回からは戻りますので安心してください。
演出としてみれば良いＥＤです。

第９話「ウェットダメージ」（脚本 高山 カツヒコ）は、熱血でインテリという希有なる主人公 十凍京を中心に展開。
頭が良いはずのキョウが、サービス問題である中学レベルの問題がどうしても解けない。
今のキョウが以前のキョウではないこと、失った真実を知る回。
作戦への参加の交換条件として水泳部の廃部の1ヶ月間延期をシマに願い出るのですが、後から見返すと深い意味を持っていることが分かります。
オケアノスクルーの困惑を気にとめておいてください。
