久々に１曲目を聴いて、涙が流れてしまいました。
こんなに誇り高く生きたロックンローラーに出会えたことを感謝します。

ジャケットのブックレット裏表紙に「DREAMER」と記されていることに、今日気が付きました。
愛と平和に「夢助」であり続けることの大切さを訴え続けてきた清志郎の思いが、じわじわと伝わってくるアルバムです。

「KING」「GOD」とともに３部作として聴くと、感慨一塩です。

“夢”という言葉は、場合によっては聞くのが恥ずかしかったり、背中がむずがゆかったりするのに、清志郎さんが歌うとちっともそんな気にならない。むしろ、夢を抱くことのすばらしさを感じる気にさえなる。

私はこのアルバムを「激しい雨」が聞きたくて買ったのだが、それに増して、CFにも使われている「ダイヤモンドが呼んでいる」を気に入ってしまった。iPodにうつして聞きまくっているが、ホント飽きない。

出来ればこの曲を、“マスターズ甲子園（オヤジたちのための甲子園）”とかのテーマソングに使って欲しいと、私などは思ったりもするのだが…。

ともかくこの「ダイヤモンドが呼んでいる」は、「デイ・ドリーム・ビリーバー」や「MTN」と並ぶ、私の清志郎さんのお気に入りナンバーに数えられる一曲になるだろう。もっと色んな人に聞いてほしい。

メンフィスというアルバム以来約１５年ぶりに清志郎のＣＤを買いました。
「あそび」の様な突き放したような曲は一曲も無いのは、女の子のお父さんになったからかな。
「冬の寒い夜」の様な小声の曲が一曲も無いのは、搾り出さなければ出ないほど喉が苦しかったのだろうか。
とか勝手に想像しました。
人って変わるんですね。
未だに「シングルマン」ばかり聴いてる私は暖かい歌しか無いこの「夢助」に浦島太郎になった気分でした。
もう３０年も経ってるのだから当たり前か。
印象としてはアルバム全曲で一曲になってるような感じであたたかい気分になれます。
心に沁みるのは何十年経っても変わらないですね。
