15ヶ月ぶりとなる今井美樹さんのシングルは歌手活動20周年記念作品。
「年下の水夫」は作詞/岡田富美子、作曲/江川美奈子、編曲/武部聡志
による大人のラブソングとなっています。
しっとりとした落ち着いた大人の雰囲気が漂っていて
シンプルなピアノの音色と美樹さんののびやかな声が素敵。
カップリング「20才のころ」はちがった雰囲気で
ボサノバ調のリズムが心地よい明るくナチュラルな曲調です。
近日中に今までのヒット曲や「年下の水夫」も収録された
20周年のアニバーサリーアルバムも発売予定となっていて楽しみです。

オリジナルアルバム『Milestone』に入ることとなった先行シングル。曲想は歌手デビュー20周年、という節目を感じさせない、肩の力の抜き方、楽しさ、を全面に出している。火だるまの歌手、年上の夫とのボラコでない、という点は『20周年』ヘのこだわりなのかも知れない。

20周年記念のオリジナルアルバム所収。タイトル・チューンといい『20才のころ』といい、リズム・パターンは違うが、ノスタルジックな命名と曲想だ。東芝EMIからの発表ながら、年上の火夫、布袋寅泰の協力が一切無いことも興味深い。
