めちゃくちゃ怖い。
ホラー映画ではないのだが、私の中では「エクソシスト」と並んで怖かった映画ランキング最上位。
といっても、お子様とか、心の底から1％も浮気願望を生まれてから一度も抱いたことはないと神に誓って言える人は、少しも怖くないかもしれません。
そんな人いないはずですが。たぶん。

マイケル･ダグラスはマイケル・ダグラスっぽくて、まあ、マイケル・ダグラスだなあって感じです。（なんのこっちゃ）
本作のみどころはグレン・クローズとアン・アーチャーの女優陣であることは衆目の一致するところでしょう。
とにかくグレン・クローズの壊れっぷりときたら、あまりに「自然に」「普通に」「スムーズに」どんどこ加速して壊れていくので、ホントめちゃ怖い。
彼女は「ナチュラル」の清楚な好演のイメージが強かったので、本作を見たときはぶっ飛んだ。見比べると慄く。この人すごいわ。
この人の演技を見るだけで購入価格の価値はあります。
アン・アーチャーはハリソンフォードとの一連の競演が印象強いですが、本作でも複雑になって当然な状況の妻の役をくどさを感じさせないで好演しています。
ま、「妻はこんな許し方しちゃいけないよね」と思いながらも、敵役のグレン・クロースのぶっ飛び方がとんでもないので、こうする以外の方法が出てこなくてもしょうがないと感じてしまいますが。

ということで怖い思いをしたい大人の男性、またはパートナーの浮気願望の有無をチェックしたい大人の女性にはぜひお勧め。(笑)

この映画は本当に素晴らしいです。
主人公の典型的男の姿、愛らしい家族、そして狂気の女性の描き方が良いです。
この映画は勘違いされているかも知れませんが、ホラー映画でも浮気抑止のための映画ではないです。
人格障害、多分境界性人格障害の人を描いた作品でしょうね。
自分を見捨てられることを極度に恐れる人格障害（激しい性格）の人を、ここまで上手く描いたことに脱帽です。

子供のころに見た時は、ホラー映画のひとつだと思っていたけれど
最近見たら、不倫がもつれた結果の話で、よりいっそう面白く
観ることができた。簡単な内容だけど、どきどきできて面白い!!
