コンサートにいった感動が甦りました。

US盤を扱っているサイトに隠し映像の出し方が掲載されていたので、国内盤でも試したら出せました。

DISC2のドキュメンタリーをPLAY ALLで観るか、早送りします。(早送り時はプログラム終了間際で再生に戻す。)

会社クレジットが終了後にでる、メニュー画面のサブタイトルの部分にカーソルをあわせる。

十字キーを下に押して、左に押すと画面中央やや左に(アナウンサーのネクタイの結び目の部分)丸いマークが現れるので決定を押す。

収録されている映像はLDで発売されていたアクトン・ベイビーのクリップ集にあったものです。(バンドヒストリーの様なもの)
約25分 英語、日本語字幕付きです。

お先に海外版を体験しました。
VHS版も持っていますが、さすがに機材環境的にも保存環境的にも厳しくなってきましたので、DVD化を待ちわびていました。
映像的には、当時の素材ですので、やはり一昔前を感じさせる映像なのはやむ終えないといった所でしょうか。
決してノイズが乗っているとかでは無いのですが、色の具合や解像感に現在のようなクリアさが無かったり、挿入されるエフェクト等に時代を感じさせられます。
音質的には、全く問題無くクリアで迫力がありました。
サラウンドでは、観客の歓声がリアに来るオーソドックスなミックスでしたが、VHSと比べて何気に感動を覚えたり・・。
最近のライブもDVD化されていますが、その辺からU2を知ったファンの方には是非見て欲しい作品ですね。
今でも凝った演出を施していますが、基本であるバンドサウンドを重視したステージングにシフトしています。
なので、そういうU2しか知らない方々に「昔はこんなぶっ飛んだ事やってたんだぜ」と。
後はPOPMARTツアーのライブのDVD化を待つばかりです。

当然ながら皆若いです。みなさんおっしゃるように、かなりぶっ飛んでいます。アダムの悪っぽさも見ものです。ボノもとんがってます。アンコールの「ウィズ・オア…」、ケバイ化粧をしたボノの歌うこのバージョンは、これまで映像化されているどのライブバージョンよりも、最も切なく心に響くように聴こえます。ラストのプレスリーの名曲共々、ボノのボーカルの素晴らしさが心に残ります。後は、ポップマートですね。
それから、ボーナストラックもけっこういいです。特に「デザイヤー」は最高。聴きなれたバージョンでなく、ライブ音源(公式）ではおそらく聴けないハードなアレンジで、アダムのベースがずんずん響き、ロッケンロールしちゃってます。
