みなさんご安心を。DVDは世界共通のリージョンフリーです。この夏、サッポロ・ジャズ・フォレストでザビヌル・シンジケートを初めて生で聴きました。完璧でした。しかもステージそばまで行ってザビヌル先生と握手までして感激の雨あられ。DVD映像を観ながら、28年の歳月は流れたとはいえ「この右手と握手をしたんだなー」と感慨深くかつ忘れ得ぬ思い出となったことを実感しました。多くのリスナーが認知しているザビヌルの原点はマイルスとの活動なのでしょうが、このウェザーリポートがやはり彼の金字塔。現在のザビヌル・シンジケートが猛々しくもこれ以上ないという極上の音楽を提供し得ているのは、なんと言ってもウェザーリポートという布石があったからこそだと思います。この素晴らしいボックスセットは、ある程度年代順に収録されたベスト盤ではありますが、その統一感は比類なきもの。必携です。

WRの全てのCDとレコードを持っていますが、この３枚のCDは音が違います。良いです。全体を通して聞いても、時代ごとのマスターリング時の音質の違いが顕著に感じられません。心から楽しめます。DVDも同様の内容の画像を持っていますが、こちらの方が画像の鮮明さが違います。いままでのDVDは海賊版のように見えてしまいます。おすすめします！

今回のＢＯＸセットの目玉はなんと言っても７８年ドイツでのライブ映像！
（ＤＶＤはもちろんリージョン・フリーです。）
やっぱりウェザー・リポートはライブですねぇ！
ジャコのベースギターは本当に素晴らしい！
ウェイン・ショーターの真剣そのものの演奏も素晴らしい！
ピーター・アースキンのドラムソロもライブならでは！
ジョー・ザヴィヌルのキーボードは映像でも飽きさせない！
まさに乗りに乗ったパフォーマンスはＷＲファンなら１家に１つは持っていたいですよねー！
ああ幸せ〜！
あ、ＣＤももちろん音が良くなってますよ〜。
