2005年3月にさだまさし氏の「関白宣言」のリメイク「関白」でデビューを飾ったSEAMO。全国FMパワー・プレイを多数獲得した2nd 「DRIVE」、BENNIE Kとの哀愁コラボ・シングル「a love story」。そしてnobodyknows+のCRYSTAL BOY、HOME MADE 家族のMICRO&KUROなど豪華アーティストをフィーチャリングに迎えた1stアルバム『Get Back On Stage』。2005年は話題満載の楽曲リリースと、各地での数々のLIVEでしっかりとSEAMOというアーティストをアピールしてきました2006年・・・4月発売の「マタアイマショウ」が現在も続く超ロングラン・ヒットを記録!そして続くキラーチューン・シングル「ルパン・ザ・ファイヤー」では初のTOP10入りを果たすなど、まさにヒートアップ状態のSEAMOがいよいよ2ndアルバム『Live Goes On』をドロップ。

『Live Goes On』・・・タイトルに込められた想い・・・前作のアルバムのタイトル『Get Back On Stage』で「ステージ(シーン)に舞い戻ってきたぞ」との意味を込めてつけたタイトルであったのに対して、今回はまさに「俺の人生(=ライヴ!)はスタートを切ったばかりで、これから続いていくぞ」という、現在進行形のリアルなSEAMOの存在感を見せ付けるようなタイトルになりました。

アルバムの内容はロングヒット・シングル「マタアイマショウ」、「ルパン三世のテーマ」を大胆にカヴァーしたキラーチューン「ルパン・ザ・ファイヤー」の2枚のシングルを収録、さらにその2曲の別versionも収録。他にはBENNIE KのYukiとの共作曲「心の声」や「Twilight Gemini」といったSEAMOの持ち味のひとつである切ないラヴソング曲や、最近注目されているトラック・メーカーNao'ymtを起用したサマー・チューン「海の家」、さらに「ウイニングイレブン」のコンピに提供した「Champion Road」、SEAMOが毎週日曜に名古屋のクラブLUSHで主催しているイベント「GOLDEN TIME」のテーマソング、そして「Rhyme Jet Coaster」、「Mr.Girl Hunter」といったハードなトラックにSEAMOらしいユーモア溢れるリリックを載せた楽曲など、彼のふり幅全開のバラエティにとんだ内容になっています。

そして今回もゲストアーティストが多数参加!ソングライトでBENNIE KのYuki、そしてその楽曲にフィーチャリングされているAZUは「Honey Honey」などにも参加、SEAMOとの相性もバッチリの女性シンガー。そして前回に続いてHOME MADE 家族のKURO、さらに名古屋の後輩HIP HOPグループ、カルテットと手裏剣ジェット。さらに長州力のテーマ「POWER HOLE」をサンプリングした楽曲には長州小力を招いています!

先週、ひょんなことからFM石川の公開ライブで初めて見て、
いっぺんではまってしまいました。

私的には、DefTechやMEGARYUといったアーティストと
同じような系統として楽しんでいるのですが、
驚くべきことにこのアルバムには、はずれが無いのです。

最近の若いアーティストにありがちな、
どこかから借りてきたような思想を訴える、
意味がよく分からない曲が紛れていない、
まっすぐで気持ちのいいアルバムです。

HipHopというジャンルは未知の領域だったけど、このアルバムに出会えて良かった。

SEAMOを初めて知ったのは、確か昨年末のＭステで「ルパン・ザ・ファイヤー」を歌っているのを見たとき。「うわ〜よく口が回る人だなあ」というのが第一印象だった。
次に聴いたのは、やはり年末のNHK「トップランナー」（紅白初出場者特集、だったと思う）で「マタアイマショウ」だった。この番組のインタビューで、本人が「この歌は実話なんです」と言っていたのが頭に残っていた。

思い切ってこのアルバムを買い、真夜中に一人で聴いていたらハマッてしまって明け方まで何度も聴いた。もうどの曲も楽しくて、でも切なくて。
知っている２曲以外も予想以上にカッコ良かったし、特に「心の声」は「マタアイマショウ」の序章のようで胸が苦しいくらい。
ゲストとのコンビネーションも素晴らしく、HipHopが嫌いな人でも一度聴いてみてほしい。
次はライブに行ってみたい。だって楽しそうだから。

　シーモの二枚目のアルバム。もちろん発売日に即買いでした。聴いてて思ったのが、かっこいい要素と面白い要素がうまく結合されているということです。
　ルパンの曲をラップアレンジしてたり（超お勧めです）、長州小力が参加していたりと初めてラップ聴いてて笑わせてもらいました。ラップのスキルも超一流なのでかっこよさもたくさん詰まっています。切なくなる曲のあったりとほんと音楽の幅が広いですね。
　シーモはラップ界のエンターテイナーだと思いました。興味がある人は迷わず拝聴すること。
