不思議なことに、SHERBETSのメンバーでのセッションが半分を占めているのにも関わらず、SHERBETSとは何かが違う。かと言ってJUDEともブランキーとも違う。今までの全ての要素を含みながらも「浅井健一」としての新しい魅力がこのアルバムには詰まっていると思う。ラストの「人はなぜ」に感服。

僕はAJICOから入ったベンジーファンで、変わった方だと自分でも思います。
それもあってか、JUDEにはどうしても手がいきませんでした。
このアルバムは視聴を少ししたものの、正直“ジャケ買い”で入りました。
（・・黒い"JOHNNY HELL"ティアドロップ型ギターピックまでついていたし・・、とにかくカッコ良くて・・）

さて音楽は、ジャケ通りのスピード感を持ちつつ、重たさが共存する素晴らしいビートにあふれています。
この上で魅力ある歌メロと意表をつくギターラインが絡むものだから、結構長い曲も含めあきさせず、“え、もう終わっちゃうの？”という感じ。
Keyも随所でセンス良いフレーズを聞かせ、一層の彩を加えるのに成功。
今の日本でこれだけ良質でカッコいいR&Rを聞かせてくれるアルバムは少ないのでは・・。

DVDはアリゾナロケ。日本人には珍しく”乾いた”音楽を作るベンジーには、よく似合う土地。
僕は「Johnny Hell」と「Hello」をアコギ１本で弾くシーンが一番好きです。
通して見るとこのアルバム製作へのベンジーの姿勢が感じ取れます。そういう意味でも単なるプロモのDVD以上の価値がありますね。

わりと、ベンジーのアルバムにありがちなんですが、一曲目の印象が全体を通して続かない。
つまり（あえてきつい表現しますが）、ハァ？なんだかんだでこの程度かよ！って思いました。

全体としては、まさに近頃の作品の印象ですね。妙にポップ、妙にダウナー、中途半端にアップテンンポ。みたいな。

最初聞きとおした時は、ふーんって感じでしたが、”こういう作品と理解をした上で”聞いていると結構良い感じです。

とりあえず、（いまさら言うべきことかわかりませんが、おそらくここ見る人はこういう意見を聞きたい人もいると思いますので）ブランキーの頃の勢いを期待する人にとっては期待外れになります。
