問題となっている点について僕も一言。「主人公が戦わなくてはならない状況だった」というお話はもっともです。ただベリエール戦でジュードやアルノーにあんなに残酷な態度をとらせる必然も必要性も全然ありませんでした。「主人公たちがベリエールに同情しつつもそれでも戦わなくてはならなかった」という設定の方が、矛盾もなく、そしてはるかに多くの人に納得いくものになったでしょう。

あの時のジュードたちの態度を作品擁護派の人は「戦いの理不尽さ・残酷さを印象づけるためにあえてそうした」とかおっしゃいますが、作品内でもコンプリガイドやファンブックでも、そういう説明は一切ないから本当のとこはわかんないですし（それは説明責任を果たしていないともいえますな）仮にそうした意図があったにしても、結局のところ多くの人を悲しませたり、不快にさせたり、納得できない思いにさせたわけですから「その意図はいい結果を生まなかった」と反省材料にするしかないのでは、と思いますな。

そうは言っても僕はＷＡシリーズが好きですよ。ただ４ｔｈの問題点を反省として今後に生かしていって欲しいですな。

ストーリーが短く、理不尽…多くの方がそういうのも分かりますね。正直、あれだけ成長しない主人公は感情移入できん。敵のほうがよかった。一層、味方と敵を入れ替えてくれません？
主人公はわがままで自分勝手な正義を他人に押し付けるだけですし…
５も主人公は相変わらずです。まあ、向こうはとあるヒロインが真の主役だから、気になりませんでした。これはやらないほうがいいです。ファンにもライトにも進められない。

主人公ジュードがどうにも好きになれない。苦労知らずで視野が狭く、年齢を考慮するにしてもあまりに自己中である。自分の被害者意識のみ旺盛で自分をすべて正しいと思い込み、相手の立場や悲しみを少しも理解しようともせず、同情すべき相手に心無い残酷な言葉をあびせて平気で攻撃し、殺して平然としている。その最たるものがベリエール戦だろう。

「子供が大人の壁を乗り越えて成長していくストーリ−」と銘打っている割に、このジュードの態度は最後まで変わらない。自分がしてきた残酷な態度への反省はおろか心を痛める事もまったくなく、そのくせ「誰も傷つけずにすむ方法があるはずだろう！」と恥ずかしげもなく叫ぶ。自己中の独善的な幼稚なコドモのまま・・・・このどこが「成長のストーリー」なのだろうか？ 少しも成長などしていないが？

この主人公よりは彼らによって殺されたブリューナクのメンバーの方がはるかに魅力的であった。人間の男に対する一途で真摯な愛をひたすらにつらぬいた美しい女魔族のベリエール、幼少の時の悲惨な体験を背景に人の不安を読み取る能力を身につけたエニルなど・・・このような魅力的で重い設定をもったキャラたちが自己中で「自分こそ正義」と思い上がった子供によって次々と殺されていく、こんなストーリーは到底納得できない。
