初めて聞いたのは、（ごめんね）日本のバンド〜と半分馬鹿にしてのサマソニ。
球場で演奏するのはガイタレじゃないの！！

でも、あー目からうろこ。耳から小石。おじさん知らなかった・・・
ゆるして。あーきもちいい。このサウンド。そして英語の歌詞。日本語もあるよ〜。
ばかにしていた。先入観はいらない。
そうです。気持ちよければ何もいらない。
「ポップスファンのためのエセロックでありJ-POPの腐れ具合の象徴であり流行物にすぎません。 」
なんて・・・酷評することに何の意味があるの？悲しい・・・
音楽の趣味は押し付けるものでも批判するものでもない。
気持ちがいいなら薦めればいい。
嫌いならば聞かなければいい。

疾走感は日本のバンドとしては「来たか」
いいよ！おじさんは「日本のバンドは日本語で歌いつけろ！」と
怒り渦巻いていた世代だけど。
もういい。和解。
「高架線」は日本語歌詞が多いです。まずは初級で聞いてみて。
洋楽が好きな人はどこからでも聞いてみるとよろしい。

石頭は無しで。好きならきく。嫌いならそっと立ち去ればいいのに。
音楽ってそうじゃなかかったったけ？
千葉県民じゃないけど、サマソニのステージは今も忘れないよ。
今回のアルバムいいね〜また好きになりました。

やはり売れると同時に賛否両論が出ちゃうのが残念なんだけれども。。。初期の作品からずっと聴いている私にとって、この作品を最初に聴いた瞬間は「すごい！やってくれたなー！」の一言でした。アルバムとしての完成度は他の作品から更に一歩前へ出ているし、何と言ってもこれだけの物を毎年作れるってすごいなって。ツアーにも行って実際にライブでもアルバムの曲も聴いたのですが、CDじゃなくて新旧の楽曲をバラバラに聴いても凄くポップな作品だって思い知らされました。ですので私はオススメします！

バンドはロックとかポップスとかパンクとか、邦楽とか洋楽とか、
必ず分類されなきゃいけないものなのかなぁと思います。
私はロックからクラシックまで幅広く聞いていて、
どのジャンルも音楽として好きです。
ELLEGARDENが以前はどうだったか、というよりも彼らの今の音楽が
今回のアルバムには集約されていると思います。
そしてボーカルの細美さんが雑誌のインタビューでも言っているように、
「みんなの期待に応えたい」と思って作ったアルバムで、
これまでの過程でそういう考え方に変わってきたんだなぁと思いました。
このアルバムももちろん好きですが、他のアルバムもどれも好きです。
聴いてみることをおすすめします。
ジャンルはなんであれ、先入観を持たずに、
ELLEGARDENの音楽として聴いてほしいなと思います。
