約一年半振りのザックワイルド率いるBLACK LABEL SOCIETYのオリジナルアルバムの発売だ。自分はIRON MAIDENの新譜と同じ位楽しみにしていた作品で発売日にソッコーゲットして聞いてみた所、脳天ぶち抜かれてしまった。今回の作品では前回以上によりヘビーによりメロディアスに仕上げてきている。前作であるMafiaではザックの盟友であったダイムバックダレル追悼の曲など全体的に見ても怒りにも似た感情がザックの中にあったのではないだろうか。それがサウンドにも現れていた感があった。
今作ではそんな物どこ吹く風、一曲目からぶっ飛べる内容だ。本当にこの男は最高にヘビーだ！独特のビブラートも健在でまさにザック節といった感じだ。
上記したようにヘビーでメロディアスにという表現で誤解して欲しくないのがもちろんサウンド的にもメロディックになってはいるが、もっと注目する点はザックの歌声だ。それは彼が心のそこから慕っているOZZY OSBOURNEの存在がこのアルバムでも大きい。このアルバムの数曲でもザックなのかオジーなのか聴き間違える位似ている声があるのだ。
それだけザックは常にオジーを意識しているのであろう。また今作は少しバラード色の強い楽曲が多いのだが安心して欲しい。他の大多数の曲は超ヘビーなのだから。
いつも通りのザックワイルドのアルバムなのでどっしり構えて聴いて頂きたい作品に出来上がっている！

これまではへヴィさ、豪快なペンタトニックプレイなどが魅力でしたが、今回耳を惹くのが楽曲の素晴らしさです。
もとからザックの歌声は好きでしたが、今回は特に味わいが増して素晴らしいです。加えてキーボードを大きく使いメロウで、印象的なメロディーが特徴となってます。
毎回のようにギター小品的なナンバーがありましたが、全体の構成を考えてか今回はありません。STORONGER THAN DEATHのような破壊力を期待すると肩透かしかもしれませんが、SONIC BREW, BLESSED HELLRIDEと並ぶ個人的にはお気に入りのアルバムです。
もちろんソロは弾きまくりですので、プレイは期待を裏切らないでしょう。一般のメタルファンにも大きくアピールする出来だと思います。

　やはり、ザックの歌は、冗談にも上手いとは言えない・・・。ＯＺＺＹの横で、ギターを弾いてる
のが一番、輝いてる気がする。バンドが売れるとギタリストは、ソロで歌うのは、なぜだろう・・・？所詮、自己満足の世界で、本体のバンド以上の興奮は得られない。来年発売予定のＯＺＺＹの新作に期待する。
