ほぼ、ポップスですね。

シンガーの名前から個性的な女性ジャズボーカルかと期待して買いましたが……。
ジャズボーカルのCDをお求めなら、視聴してから買われることをお勧めします。
個性も薄く、歌詞の内容も大したことありません。
アレンジに懲りすぎたせいか、音が入り過ぎ、肝心のボーカルも引っ込んでしまっています。
今年買って失敗したアルバムの内の一枚です。

ポップスと割り切って買うなら納得できたのかも知れませんが、
可愛さ？に贔屓目の絶賛レビューを信じ過ぎました。
素晴らしい歌い手の名録音盤を星五つとするなら、個人的には星三つの評価です。

JAZZ　LIFEのインタビューを読んで、音楽に対するチャレンジ精神がとても素敵で、すごく興味を持って、思わずアルバムを手に取りました！そして…試聴機から流れる声、1曲目からすでに心をノックアウトされました。流れてくる声が澄んでいて、心洗われる。音はJAZZテイストで全体的にとても心地よい。こんなにもクリアな世界に出会えたのは久しぶりです。私の今年のイチオシCDとなりそうです。

セカンドアルバム「Tsuki」を先に聴いてしまったため、ジャズとは少し遠いジャンルの担い手と思っていたが、このデビューアルバムは、よりJAZZの雰囲気を感じることができた。こちらの方が、感性にぎらぎらしたものがあり、初作の緊張感がいい意味でアルバム全体を引き締めている。
声に取りたてて特徴は無いが、「The Voice Within」などは、カバー曲であるが聴き手に訴える力があり、引き込まれる演奏。白眉は意外にも終曲の「SHIKI〜四季〜」で、日本語の言葉の理解、発音の処理という理屈を超えた、annekeiの即興的感性の鋭さを感じさせるに十分な佳作である。
ルックスもよく、日本びいきということでファンが増えそうであるが、歌謡界と違い、最後に求められるのはやはり「才能」であろう。良いスタッフに恵まれ、さらに才能を開花させることができれば、今後が楽しみなアーティストである。
