【アーティストについて】
2003年1月。ボーカリストを目指すhirokoと、BoAなどに楽曲提供していたmiyakeが出会い結成。
POPSもHip-Hopも区別なく『普通に』聞いてきた自分達が、心から楽しめる音楽の確立を目標に活動開始。
渋谷ROCK WESTを中心にストリート、クラブ等でライブを続けながら、6月にはアナログ盤をインディーズで リリ-ス。同年7月、そのアナログ盤が偶然TVドラマのスタッフの耳に止まりメジャーデビューを果たす。
HIP!POP!をキーワードに、イノベーティヴなPOPSを目指すピースフルなユニット。

同時期に色々なアルバムをたくさん買ったのですが、今はコレばっかり聴いてます。

私はこてこてな黒人テイストのヒップホップは苦手なんですが、これはいい意味で、軽く、さっぱりしていて飽きずに聴けます。

一般的には「気分上々↑↑」のイメージが強いのでしょうが、しっとりとした曲やジャズ、クラシックのサンプリング曲もあり、意外に音楽的背景がしっかりしたユニットだと思います。

でも、やっぱり一番の魅力はヴォーカルの声。テレビで観る彼女は、かなりユルメの天然系キャラなんですが、歌に関しては表情多彩で、実は天才!?なんて思っています。

このユニットのことはあまりよく知らなかったけれど、
iTMSで試聴したら、大変よかったので、データーではなくCDを買ってみました。
ぼくは最近めっきりCD買う頻度が落ちましたが、
これは、ほんと買って良かった！と思える作品です。

#1いつまでも響くこのmelody（タイトルも秀逸！）、
そして#2の気分上々↑↑など、シングルカット曲を中心に、
#11さよならのうたまで、途中休憩（？）を挟みながら
ゴキゲンな曲が続き、元気を充填できます。
#12のトークですが、こういうのを収録するのもアリなのですね。
いろんなCDを聴いてきましたが、こういうトラックは初めてです。
ラジオを聴いてるようなトークから、#13へ自然に流れ、
最後はさざなみの音で締められています。
ライブのような、自然な構成に好感が持てます。
こういう分かりやすい構成のアルバムは最近ないですよね。

また、#12の古坂さんのトークで、hirokoさんの"Hey DJ!"の掛け声が大好き
という話が出てきますが、まったくぼくも同感で、
変幻自在のhirokoさんのヴォーカルはほんと魅力的です。
食わず嫌いしないで、一度聴いてみることをオススメします！

Mihimaru GTなかなかゴキゲン。今回のMihimagicが初めてだけど、JPopのパワーを感じる。ボーカルがかなり音程が正確でノリノリの曲とあわせてTRFのユキちゃんを思わせるけど、こっちはハスキーがはいっていてなお良い。こんな２０代のユニットがビッグバンドのスイング、In the Moodにからめてアルバムをスタートさせるところが心憎いと思った。
やっぱりイチオシは｢気分上々」。でも「部屋とワイシャツと私」もオリジナルに負けないくらいいい感じ。
