　一曲目の“Say You Love Me”は隠れた名曲といえるのではないでしょうか。自然な旋律、必要最低限なアレンジ、当時誰かのカバーかと思いきやパティ・オースチン自らが作曲したものとわかり驚いた記憶があります。

　また、ここでのデヴィッド・マシューズのアレンジはかなり控えめな印象を受けます。所々彼らしいアレンジが見受けられますが、全般的に無駄なソロもありませんし、ヴォーカルをフューチャーしたアルバムだから当然なのかもしれませんね。　スタッフのメンバーが多く参加しているせいもあり、なんだか「スタッフ＋パティ」という感じがします。

　次作のデイヴ・グルーシン編曲による“ハバナ・キャンディ”と聞き比べてみるのもおもしろいと思います。

CDショップで何気なく手にした一枚でした。
ジャケットだけを見るとかなり派手な感じがしますが、中身は素敵でおしゃれな曲に、落ち着いた女性歌手の声。
よく聴いてると、歌詞も可愛らしいです。
飽きずに永い間聴けるCDだと思います。

休日、自宅でのんびりしながら聴きたい一枚ではないでしょうか。
一番目の「SAY YOU LOVE ME」という曲、オススメです。

"Say You Love Me"は、ミニー・リパートンの"Lovin' You"、Angela Bofillの"Baby,I Need Your Love"タイプのいい曲だぁ〜。でも私のお気に入りは、５曲目の"Give It Time"なのさ。なによりRichard Teeのアコピが素敵すぎる。曲の終わりの美しいストリングスから、アップテンポな"There Is No Time"に移ると、女性コーラスから後ろで鳴ってるのは、またまたR.Tee先生のアコピなワケでして・・・。クリード＆マシュー博士から、幾年たっても色あせないプレゼントなのですよねェェェ！
