Amazonでの取り扱い開始日と価格からして、
これは2004年に発売された「Lest We Forget」を2006年に再販したものですね。
18曲目〜20曲目はもともと日本盤や限定盤のみのボーナストラックだったもの。
その3曲も入ってこの値段なら、マンソン始めにもってこいの１枚。
収録曲も彼の代表曲で埋められています。
この１枚で彼に何か魅力を感じたら初期のアルバムを購入するとよいでしょう。
個人的なオススメは「Smells Like Children」。彼の２ndアルバムです。
(あくまでも彼にハマった方へのオススメ！)

ただ、彼の見た目に魅かれてこの１枚を聴くと「あれ？」と思ってしまうこともあるかもしれません。
なぜなら、彼の外見とこの１枚に収録されている音楽は少々ずれているから。
(このベストに含まれている曲は普通のロックといいますか･･･、ポップなものも含まれているので)
マンソンといえばその派手なメイクやパフォーマンスのイメージばかりが先行してしまうため、
音楽もさぞオカルト色で固められているのだろう、と思われがち。
なので、「コテコテのハードロックやゴシックロック、メタルを聴きたい！あの外見だしな、マンソンなんかどうなんだろ？」
という方がこの１枚を聴くとがっかりするのはよくある話に思えます。

なので、マンソンの外見と一致するような曲をお求めの方には
このベストよりも「Antichrist Superstar」からマンソンを！と言いたいですね。
それ以外でとりあえずマンソンが聴きたくなったら、この１枚からどうぞ!!と偉そうではありますがオススメします！

初めてマリリンマンソンを聴く人にはオススメな入門向けなアルバム。これから先に進む人は三部作や原点から聴くのも良いだろう。
