予告で観た、ピーターさんのホームレス姿での立ち小便シーン!が衝撃的で、購入しました。
基本はセリフも少なく淡々と進むロードムービーです。
カラテカ矢部くんのボソボソと喋るセリフとナレーションがとても良い。
いつも険しい顔をしているのに、カメラを向けるとニカッと笑ってポーズを取るユウさんが可愛い。
他にも、個性的で風変わりでどこか可愛らしい感じの河川敷の住人達。
それぞれが、この河川敷だけに流れるゆっくりとした時間を楽しんでいるよう。
やりたいことが分からない,居場所が無いと感じている,時間を持て余しているひとなどには、ユウさんの言葉や行動には励まされるかも知れません。
大きな展開は無いので、映画に何を求めるかによって、好き・嫌いの好みがハッキリと別れる作品だと思います。
河川敷のシーンは色が鮮やかでとても綺麗なので、わたしのお気に入りです。

池畑慎之介さんは怪演です。
ユウさん視点で見ると、世の中の見え方が変わるし、尚樹の視点で見ると、居場所の無いジレンマに焦る自分を見つめ直せるかもしれません。

都会の雑踏は、一歩脇道に入ると暗く淋しげだけど、太陽に照らされた河川敷は、どこまでも明るく楽しい。
ほんの一世紀前は、こんな雰囲気だったんだろうなぁという河川敷の人たちとの触れあい。

一文無しでも、暮らしていけるという自信は、ある意味しがらみがなくて幸せかもしれない。
だから、ユウさんは生きてこられたんだと思う。
