下り坂になってからが興味のあるところだったけど全盛期までの回顧録。それでもメンバー、スタッフの発言を手堅くまとめています。

しかし、せめてTVシリーズ終了後のスペシャル番組や、ピーター、マイク脱退までやって欲しかったなぁ〜

　ずっと以前、TVで観ていたモンキーズを懐かしく思い買いました。６０年半ばから７０年代のロック、ポップスが好きな方なら満足できる作品だと思います。
　やはり、デイビーが可愛いですねえ。TVのモンキーズで放映されていた「デイドリーム・ビリーバー」や「アイム・ア・ビリーバー」の場面は、何度観ても飽きません。演奏ができないバンドとして、日本では異常に低い評価しか受けていませんが、純粋にポップスとして聞けば、充分楽しめる曲が多かったグループです。もう一度、日本でも再評価されて良いのではないでしょうか？
　価格も手頃だし、お勧めの一枚です。
