本作が封切られた時は、まだシーズン５の後位だったはず。コアなファンを自負していた自分は当然見に行った。
しかし、監督ロブ・ボウマンが「ＴＶシリーズを見ていない人にもわかるように作った」とコメントしていたのにしては、
”予備知識がないと理解できないだろう、この展開は！”という思いが強かった。
さすがに、終盤のシーンは映画館の大画面でならでは迫力だったが、その時の印象は甘くしても★４つ。

しかし、シリーズの最後を知った上で、ＢＯＸセットを揃えて最初から見始めて（これで３回目）、このＤＶＤを見たら印象が変わっていた。
当時疑問や不明だったことが、結構もっともらしく説明されていて、「ああ、そうか・・」と妙に納得することしきり。
要するに、自分の頭が当時のストーリー展開に十分ついていってなかったのでしょう。
ファンならやっばり持って、何度も見るべきですね。そういう訳で、身びいき込みで★５つ。

テレビシリーズにはない明確な宇宙人の登場・人間から宇宙人の製造法は、劇場版ならではである。いままでにない壮大なスケールなのでXファイルファンでない方でも楽しんで見る事ができると思います。
