Album Details

UK vinyl LP pressing of 2006 release from this hard-edged Canadian band. Alexisonfire have come a long way over the last couple of years. Now a platinum act up in their home country of Canada, the band has also established itself as a force to be reckon with in many other countries including the US. They've done it along the same lines as a lot of the other successful Vagrant acts through touring, word-of-mouth, and writing better songs with each release. Well Alexis have indeed written better songs for the new album, Crisis. Showing a level of maturity and aggression not heard on either of the band's previous albums, this is indeed the album slated to take the band from big to superstars around the world. Crisis is balanced. It's heavy. It's catchy. It shows remarkable growth. It shows that Alexisonfire are indeed ready to break out globally in 2006.

世間様ではスクリーモというものに分類されているそうですが、わざわざ自分から先に枠を作って聴く必要はないと思います。
自分で聴いてかっこいいかどうか、響くかどうかで判断したほうが音楽は楽しめると思います。
で、このアルバムですが
歌はシャウトとクリーンの掛け合いです。
演奏は割りとストレートでむちゃくちゃ変わったことをしているということはないです。
ただギターなんかの音の選び方が曲の雰囲気をどこか陰湿さを感じさせるものにしています。
しかし曲のテンポが速めなのとテンションの高さで暗くなりすぎているということはありません。

いわゆる"本物のロック"というものを聴いてきた人は否定するかもしれませんが、
ハードな演奏に感情をぶつけて歌うこのスタイル、
もしかしたら今の時代における"ストレートなロックンロール"といえるのかもしれません(ジャンルとしてでなく姿勢がという意味で☆)。

　な感じです！一曲目から、アツイです!!スクリーモ初心者や、聴いたことないかたには、持って来いな作品だと思います、もちろん好きな方もOKだと思いますが。。中間はややダレがちですが、序盤と中盤以降は、ホント、メチャクチャアツイので！素直にカッコイイと言える作品です。
