　83年に、リーダーであるグリーンはニューヨークに渡り、新メンバーであるデイヴ・ギャムソン、フレッド・メイハーと「ウッド・ビーズ」「アブソルート」、マーカス・ミラーが参加した「パーフェクト・ウェイ」などのヒットシングルを発表。それらをまとめて85年にリリースされたのが本アルバムだ。その勢いで、88年に3rdアルバム「Provision」を発表。しかし、ツアーに嫌気のさしたグリーンはイギリスに戻り活動停止。

　テクノロジーを駆使した斬新な音造りは画期的で、音楽業界に旋風を巻き起こした。その後のジングルはこいつのモノマネがむちゃむちゃ多かった。このアルバムは、実質グリーンひとりで製作されたといっていい。彼のセンスの素晴らしさがめいっぱい表現されたアルバムだ。

　次作の「プロヴィジョン」も良い。そちらの方が洗練されているが、「キューピッド〜」のなんていうか、ちょっとあざといいうか、いなたいというか、なところが好きなのである。

　アレンジに興味のある人は絶対に聞くべきだが、もちろん楽曲も優れている。
