5.0 out of 5 stars 時代を超えた、永遠のフレディ, 2007/2/13
　クイーンというバンドにしても、フレディー･マーキュリー個人にしても、好きになった方は、もちろん曲に魅かれて離れられなくなったと思いますが、人間性･生き方にも共感し、いつしか影響を強く受けている自分に気づくのです。今回のDVDは、初めて目にする風景・人物にも会うことが出来ました。残念なことに、いくら思い出をたどっても本人は存在しませんが、幸せなことに今の時代に生を受け、機械文明のおかげで、声を聞き、映像を見、音にも感じることが出来ます。彼の思いに寄り添うことが出来るかもしれません。これほどのアーティストは、黙っていても自然にファンは絶えることなく、永遠に彼と共に続いていくと感じます。そして、そんな彼に出会えて、なんて幸運だったんでしょう！神様に感謝しています。

映画で見て以来、是非DVDでも欲しいと思っていた作品。しかも、特典映像もあり、とても楽しめました。QUEENファンはこれと「オペラ座の夜」のクラシック・アルバムズのDVDをセットで揃えておきたいですね。

ただ、見終わった後はどうしてもフレディがこの世に存在しない寂しさをおぼえてしまうのも事実です。本当は、彼が亡くなる直前まで作り続け、この世に遺してくれた作品に感謝して楽しむべきなのでしょうけど…。

他の方も指摘されていましたが、字幕に一部誤りと思われるところがあった（映画から修正されていない）のは残念でした。

ドキュメンタリーの字幕ですが、いくつか誤訳というか分かりにくい部分があります。
1.フレディの妹さんが「ロジャー」という名前を口にしますが、バンドメイトのロジャーではなく、旦那さんの名前だと思います。
2.終盤、恋人だったジムさんの発言で、字幕は「フィービーとピーターに伝えた」とありますが、これは正しくは「フィービー…ピーターに伝えた」。つまりフィービーというのはパーソナルアシスタントの、ピーター(フリーストーン氏)のことだよ、と言い直したのだと思います。
QUEEN、またフレディの熱心なファンの方なら、気付いたことかも知れませんが、気になった部分だったので、書かせていただきました。
