New Found Glory（ニュー・ファウンド・グローリー）が2006年に発売した4枚目のアルバム。

はじめに宣言しますが、この作品は「New Found Glory」の今までの作品の中で一番好きな作品となりました。
しかし、メロコアバンドとしてのNFGを愛し続けてきた古くからのファンの方々は今回の変化を受け入れがたいという意見も多い模様。
もっともだろうと思う。
もはやジャンルとしては「メロコア、ハードコア、パンク」と言った枠組みに収めるのは不可能であろうと思う。

普遍的な音を鳴らすバンドとして成長する方向に傾いたNFG。
一歩間違えば「単なる普通の音を鳴らすロックバンド」となりかねない。
こういう変化のしかたは諸刃の剣なのだ。

冒頭に書いたように個人的にはこの変化は歓迎したい。
あのGREENDAYだっていつまでも青春パンクを鳴らしはしなかった。
自分達の人間としての成長（変化）をストレートに表現するのであれば至極当然の事であろうと思う。
そういう人間臭さを感じることができたからこそ、このアルバムを受け入れることができた。
個人的にはそう思う。

以下、全曲解説。

NFGの新展開を物語るような重厚な曲「Oxygen」
疾走感がありながらフックの効いた「Hold My Hand」
ピアノの効果が印象的な「It's Not Your Fault」
ミドルテンポにグッドメロディがのる「On My Mind」
表題曲にしてアルバムを代表する名曲「Coming Home」
再びミドルテンポで聴かせる「Make Your Move」
アレンジの変化で聴かせる「Taken Back By You」
アコースティックサウンドをバックに歌い上げるメロディが印象的な「Too Good to Be」
コーラスが印象的な「Love and Pain」
サビ部分が合唱モードな「Familiar Landscapes」
スローテンポで美しい「When I Die」
女性コーラスの絡みが絶妙な「Connected」
ラストを飾る壮大なスローナンバー「Boulders」
ボーナストラックは疾走感溢れる佳曲「Make It Right」

ニューファンの４枚目のアルバムは今までと違って、おとなしい曲がおおいです。よくいうバラード調の曲です。これはもう２枚目のアルバムとは別のアーティストだなと思わせる作品です。しかし、悪い意味ではなくいい意味でです。おとなしくなった分メロディがとても美しくてヴォーカルの声と曲調が合ってきたなあと言う感じがします。２枚目のアルバムよりその分とっつきやすいです。パワーポップなど好きな人にはかなりツボだと思います。パンクが好きなら１，２枚目をオススメします。バラエティ度なら３枚目が一番です。

2ndや3rdはもちろん大好きでしたが、私はNFGのこの変化はけっこう好きです。というのもアルバムに「自分の心休まる場所」という一貫性があり、しかもそれを飽きさせない美しいメロディーにのせて、時に優しく、時に悲しく歌いあげるので聴いていて気持ち良くなります。前作の中のスローな曲に通じるものがあります。
