川本真琴によるタイガーフェイクファ名義のマキシシングル。
最近「ミホミホマコト」のユニットとしてのリリースはあったにせよ、彼女がソロで公に音源を発表
するのは 2001 年の「ブロッサム」以来なので、実に 5 年近く経つことになります。いざ新譜が
リリースされて感慨ひとしお、といった感もありますが、それ以上に、アーティストが自分主体で
作品をリリースできる態勢がやっと整った結果なのだとしたらむしろそのことをお祝いしたい気
持ちで一杯です。
さて肝心の内容ですが、2nd.アルバム「Gobbledygook」の世界観とも異なり、ましてや1st.の
ピンと糸が張ったような世界観もここにはありません。むしろ商業主義と一線を画す決意表明の
一枚、と受け取るのは飛躍し過ぎかな。
<2>「やさぐれヤーさんのテーマ」以上にやさぐれた歌詞（by吉田戦車）の <3>「成城学園前の歌」
がサイコーです。

また、楽曲以上に（と言っては失礼かな）ライナーノーツが抜群に良いです。数頁の簡易版です
が「トクガワロマン」なる人が記した解説は、川本さんがメディアから離れてもなお彼女を追い続
けたファンを共感させるに足る見事に的を得た文章だと思いますし、真ん中の見開きの彼女の
写真も非常にすがすがしい本当にイイ写真だと思います。

今になって思えば彼女がデビュー間もない頃、某音楽誌に連載していたコラムが伏線だったような気がします。

あの文字・文章・イラストを目の当たりにした時は、色んな意味で衝撃を受けました(笑)
本来の彼女はパンク&シュールなんです!

そんな彼女の姿に「下北サンデーズ」の里中ゆいかを重ねたのは私だけでしょうか?
チカラの抜けた感じが何とも心地よく、ニヤリとさせてくれます。

大好きな彼女の歌声を、これからも聴き続けていきたいと思わせる一枚です!

川本真琴名義の活動をやめて、ミホミホマコトやtiger fake furなどで、
趣味の延長みたいな活動をしている彼女ですが、いい意味で、変わったなって思える。
デビュー時の１２年位前から聞いていて当時とっても好きだった。
自分もそれだけ年をとりこの月日がたつなかでいろいろな音楽に触れてきた。
音楽の好みは年を取るにつれ変わっていくものだと思う。
ふと、川本真琴というアーティストが頭の中に浮かんで、買ったシングル微熱を聞いたが、
時は理解できなかったメロディー、歌詞、今聞くと個性的なすばらしいものだった。
1stアルバムの「川本　真琴」は万人受けするメロディーで、アニメのタイアップなどで、
彼女の一番有名な曲となった１/２などが入った彼女のキャリアの中で一番売れたアルバムである。2ndアルバムは彼女が好きに作ったアルバムだが、万人受けするアルバムではなかった。しかし、今の時代だったらまだ、受け入れてもらえたかもしれない。このアーティストは少し世に出るのが早すぎたのかもしれないと思う・・・。
その後川本真琴名義の活動を本人の意向によりやめて、ミホミホマコトやタイフェイなどで、活動しているわけだが、この山羊王のテーマというシングルは、彼女の、あの独特の声と歌いまわしがとっても良く合った歌だと思う。万人受けする感じではないかもしれないが、彼女の、いい個性が出ているシングルだと思う。私個人としては、聞いてて楽しくなれる楽曲であることに間違いない。
