この中に収録されています、甲子園の入場行進曲を聞いていますと、甲子園の熱戦が脳裏に蘇ってきます。この行進曲を探していましたので、このCDを見つけた時にはすぐ購入しました。
最近はあまり聞かれなくなりました「君よ8月に熱くなれ」も収録されていますし、変ったところでは、サイレンの音、アナウンスの音、コンバットマーチの音なども収録されており、居ながらにして「甲子園」を体感できる優れものです。

甲子園に出られなかった元高校球児だった私は甲子園の雰囲気も知らなければ、甲子園の凄さもわからない。私が思うに甲子園が好きだ、甲子園の高校野球が好きだという人は、そこに季節感や、哀愁、郷土愛、一喜一憂し、熱戦に涙するピュアな自分を映し出すスクリーンとして見ているのではないだろうか。このCDは高校野球ファンである私の胸を打った。曲の合間の静寂感もまた色んなことを思い出させてくれるのである。気持ちが落ちているときはコンバットマーチを聞いてピュアでひたむきだったあのころを思い出して、頑張る気にさせてくれる。西浦達雄氏のアカペラの「栄冠は君に輝く」も非常に胸を打つ。

私は高校時代に応援団に在籍していました。団長を務めた3年生のとき、県大会準決勝で敗れ、「アルプススタンドで応援する」という夢は叶いませんでした。しかし、数年後に母校が甲子園初出場を果たしたとき、私の次の代で応援団が消滅していたため、応援指導のため甲子園に行くことができました。その時、炎天下の中で聞いた「栄冠は君に輝く」のアカペラバージョンが非常に印象に残っています。それがきちんと収録されており、また「ファンファーレ」「大会行進曲」や「コンバットマーチ」なども変なアレンジなしで収録されているので、甲子園の雰囲気をそのまま感じることができます。
欲を言えば、「Sounds of 甲子園球場」のチャプターのところを、「コンバットマーチ」と「ダッシュKEIO」の2曲だけでなく、せめてあと2〜3曲定番の応援歌を入れて欲しかったと思います。
「ブラバン！甲子園」と違い、変なアレンジがないので、非常に好感が持てます。応援歌をもう少し充実させて欲しかった、ということで星4つにします。
