すでに大友克洋はこの企画から降りており、初期のビーグル、キャラクターデザイン
しか参加していません。
ですのでこれを大友作品とするのは間違っていると思います。
描き下ろしジャケットも大友画にそっくりですが、一体誰が描いているのやら…。
AKIRA大好き人間たちが作った、AKIRAのオマージュと思えば一番しっくりくると思います。

ビークルレースが最大の見どころらしいけど
その要の危険と隣り合わせのスリルやスピード感が
いまいち伝わらなかったのが残念。
それと大友克洋が途中降板とのことでさらに残念。

作品としては星４つだけど、商品としては星３つ。理由は、本編30分の短さでこの値段は不釣り合いだから。バンダイチャンネルの有料配信を利用したい。作品そのものは、絵も良く描けてるし、話も小難しくないので、カップヌードルの宣伝を兼ねたエンターテイメントとして普通に楽しめる。
