お互いに家庭を持つ男女がふとしたきっかけで恋に落ち、しかし一線を越えられなくて苦しむ、そういう単なる不倫ものとは一味違う味付けの大人のラブ・ストーリーとして、最高に好きな映画のうちの１本です。考えてみれば、ロバート・デ・ニーロがごく普通の一般市民の役を演じるのはこの作品ぐらいではないでしょうか。しかしそれは彼の演技が本作では平凡だということではありません。メリル・ストリープとともに揺れ動く２人の感情を見事に表現しています。ハーベイ・カイテル、ダイアン・ウィーストらもしっかり脇を固めています。そしてこの物語をより生き生きとしたものにしているのは、デイブ・グルーシンの音楽とともに、NY郊外の家庭生活の描写のきめの細かさ。特に２人が出会う通勤電車やグランド・セントラル・ステーションは、NY市近郊のウェストチェスター郡やコネチカット州に住む人は必ずお世話になるので、もう２０年以上前の作品ですが、NY赴任・留学の予定のある人は是非本作を観ておくことを薦めます。特にハドソン川沿いに住むことを考えている人は必見。私自身、映画とは違う路線ですが、電車を利用する度に本作のことを思い出し、あの映画と似たような生活をしているのだなあ、という感慨にふけり、またそういう生活をしている自分を嬉しく思ったものです。残念ながら、私には劇的な出会いは訪れませんでしたが。

この映画を見ると自分も恋に落ちたくなります！
ありえない、と思いながらも本屋に行きたくなっちゃいます(笑)

デ・ニーロの作品でここまでの恋愛映画は希少ですよね。最初は見慣れなくて
変な感じがするんですけど、ごくごく普通の中年というのがすごくはまっていてとても素敵です。
そしてメリル・ストリープがとても魅力的！クレイマー・クレイマーの時よりもすごく美人で、
ごく普通なのにどこか魅力のある素敵な女性を演じています。
せっかく恋に落ちても不倫の関係なので、家庭が壊れていくのは見ていて悲しいんですが、
やはり最後の電車のシーンは感動してしまいます。

最近の映画にはないしっとりとした大人の恋愛です。
絶対に１度は観ておくべき！

昔、職場の女性に
「これ、知ってる？」と聞くと、みんな「知らない」と小バカにして答えた。

その後、「いいよ」と薦めたら、本当に観てくれた。笑
よく文句をいうひと達だったけれど、かなりその中の何人かには良かったのでしょう。黙って頷いていた。

「恋愛物」を好きなひとなら、見ておくべき定番ともいえる作品。笑
「不倫」とは言う事無かれ。
中身は結構…「純粋」。

その純粋な恋愛への見せ方では現実的で、
デミ・ムーアの「ゴースト」より更に上です。
特に男女を嫌わず観れると思う。

実にベタな題名ですが、男性の方は意を決してレジへ。笑
それでも私は、一押しです。
初めて観られる方は、
きっと「こんな映画があったんだ！」と感動するのではないでしょうか？
とにかく初めての人へお勧め。
