宇宙へと旅立つ人類の悲哀 … 近未来SFの世界を舞台にした美しくも切ない物語 2004年~2005年にかけて発売されたコンセプト・アルバムシリーズAncient Colors Infinity。自主制作音楽シーンを中心に活躍するstudioCampanella の bermei.inazawa がサウンドプロデュースを行い、霜月はるか、茶太、片霧烈火の3人のボーカリストを色という切り口で表現した意欲作でした。 今回お届けする Orbital Maneuverは、Ancient Colors Infinity と同じ流れを汲むシリーズとして企画された、コンセプト・アルバムシリーズの第2段です。コンセプトメイキングに interface ,ヴォーカリストに 霜月はるか、茶太、片霧烈火 といった基本スタッフはそのままに、サウンドプロデュースとしてインディーズ音楽シーンの気鋭コンポーザー 大嶋啓之 、アートディレクションには beatmania シリーズのミュージッククリップ制作クリエイターとして注目を集める Ta-k を迎えています。 しかも今回は映像特典として、エンハンスド CD 仕様で Ta-k 完全オリジナルのミュージッククリップを同梱します。アルバムのイメージに基づいた、氏独特の感性に基づくミュージック・クリップは必見です。幻想的かつ雄大なサウンドに乗せた、ボーカリスト達の美しくも切ない歌声。遥か遠い宇宙へと旅立つ人類の悲哀をテーマとする近未来SFの世界を舞台とした、壮大な一大抒情詩をお楽しみください。

　「ORBITAL MANEUVER」の最終章です。第１章の霜月はるかサン、第２章の茶太サン、そして片霧烈火サンですよ。現在自分の中で最強の御三方です。
　このphototaxisはそんなシリーズの最終章になるわけですが、シリーズのテーマが（おそらく）地球の環境というか、地球を散々ダメにしてきた人間が地球を捨てた…といったものだと勝手に解釈しているのですが、phototaxisのテーマは地球への郷愁、といったところでしょうか。その地球を見守り、廻り続ける‘方舟’の目線でストーリーのように展開していきます。
　このシリーズは３作全て聴くべきだと思います。全て曲調も声のよさも異なり飽きもきません。公式サイトで試聴もできますし、彼女らを知らない方にも聞いて欲しいです。このクオリティでこの値段は決して高くないですよ。（パソコンでのみ）表題作のＰＶのおまけ付きですし。
　まさに感動作！ホントに泣けます。

２曲目以外が全英語詞でその内の３曲目が"lost blue"という曲なんですけど、
ただ普通に聴いているうちに歌詞が気になってきて、そこで初めてカードを開きました。

内容をかなり勝手に「ああ、たぶん…私が失い、そしてずっと捜していた、この色の名を“青”と呼んでいたんだ」みたいに解釈してみました。

そこで改めて、晴れた日に自転車こぎながら聴いてみたんですけど…
青空を眺めながら、ふいに泣いてしまいました。

大嶋啓之さんのＨＰで流れるＢＧＭが琴線に触れた人は絶対聴いてください。

ORBITAL MANEUVER3部作をphase3→2→1と完全に逆順に購入、聴いていったのですがこのPhototaxisが一番良いと思います。
レーベルが透明なCDを初めて見ました。音質面で不利になるという人が居るとは思いますが、とてもかっこいいので好きです。
全体的に壮大な感じで、5曲ともすべてオススメです。
いつもの片霧さんとは違いますがこっち路線も良いと思います。
