　ポビーとディンガンという、空想の友達をもつ女の子、ケリーアン。そんな妹を持って、恥ずかしく思いながらも、妹のことを心配している、アシュモル。ある日、そんな空想の友達、ポビーとディンガンが行方不明になったことから、ケリーアンは病気になってしまう。アシュモルは、ケリーアンの病気を治そうと、実在しないポビーとディンガンを探して街を歩く。
　
　観終わった後、思わず走りたくなるような、とてもいい気分になりました。
　男の子でも女の子でも、子供のころに、ぬいぐるみや人形に話しかけたりしたことがあると思います。ケリーアンを観ていると、そんな子供のころが思い出されてきます。
　そして、妹の為にポビーとディンガンを探し回るアシュモル。兄弟の尊さ、家族の暖かさが感じ取れます。人に優しく接しよう。家族と話をしよう。そんな気分にしてくれました。

　可愛らしく、しかし、それだけではない、子供はもちろん大人にも大切なことを気づかせてくれる。そんな、児童文学の特性を活かした素晴らしい映画です。

宝石採掘の街に住む親子がいる。
その娘ケリーアンは想像力豊か。空想の友達がいる。
ポビーとディンガン。
ある日、その友達がケリーアンの前から姿を消す。
それが原因で、病気になってしまう彼女。

兄のアシュモルは、、そんな妹のために
街の人に笑われながら、、
その見えないお友達を探すことにした。

宝石探しと見えない友達探し、、どこか底で繋がっていて。
あるけど見えない。あると信じるから見つけられる。
その一番大事なことが、ケリーアンからアシュモル、
お父さんにお母さん、街の人へと広がっていく。

整合性をこの映画に求める人にはガッカリかもしれません。
物語を求める人にはオススメです

なんか涙ぽろりんこ。アシュモル〜〜！！
エンディングの曲の最後の最後のメロディーが、、気持ちをふるいたたせてくれます。

お子様ものが好きな方は必見。ポビーとディンガンという
空想の友達のいる少女、ケリーアン。そんな妹を時には恥ずかしくも
感じている兄、アシュモル。ある日、ケリーアンが『ポビーと
ディンガンがいなくなった・・・』と落ち込み、病気になります。
そんな弱ったケリーアンのために、アシュモルはポビーとディンガン
の捜索を始めます・・・

アシュモルが、妹に空想友達がいることに対して、このままでは
いけないと感じたり、友達にからかわれて恥ずかしく思ったり。
すごくキモチが分かります。それでも最後にはケリーアンのために
町(村？)をまきこんでの本気の捜索を始めるあたりに、アシュモルの
優しさと妹に対する愛情をすごく感じ、むちゃくちゃ感動しました。
ラストは原作とは違う模様。原作にも(できれば英語で)挑戦したいです。
