アメリカでヒットしたミッドウェイのアーケードゲームを32タイトル収録。コストパフォーマンスはかなり高いです。
オリジナリティが高く、個性的なゲームが多いのが特徴です。
説明書の各ゲームの説明がいいかげんで、ゲーム中の表記は全て英語の為、ゲームによってはルールがさっぱりわからなかったりします。
その辺りのフォローが欲しかった。
システム面も国産ゲームに比べ使いづらく感じました。
この手のゲームは、思い入れのあるゲームの数によって評価は大きく変わると思います。
好きなゲームがいくつかある、という方にはオススメしますが、収録数が多いからという理由での購入はオススメしません。

入っているゲームは、全てアメリカでヒットした作品ばかり。故に、我々日本人には思いもつかない独創的なゲームが山ほど詰まっています。
が、しかし!全部が全部名作ではありません!
ガントレットやマーブルマッドネス、ハードドライビンにランパート等などは、まだ楽しめるほうです。が、あからさまにツマンナイゲームも多々あります。
一番の問題点は、これらのゲームが海外仕様のままだということ! 何せ、取扱説明書が白黒印刷のうえに、物凄い不親切!となると、各ゲーム中に流れる説明だけが頼り。が、その説明画面が英語だらけ!せめて、日本で売るもんなんだから和訳位してほしかった・・・。おかげで、英和辞典を広げながらルールを覚えさせられるハメに(怒)。
日本でアメリカ製のゲームを紹介してくれるのは嬉しいが、日本で買う人間の事をもっと真剣に考えてほしい。コレでは魅力も薄れてしまう。よって、星三つ!

こういったコレクション的な要素が大きいゲーム集は遊ぶ世代によって
も評価が大きく別れるとは思いますが・・・。

私個人の目当ては「ガントレット」や「マーブルマッドネス」でした。
むかーしゲームセンターにあった「アタリ社」のゲームなのですが、
当時は難易度の高さや仕様から多人数（４人プレイ可能）でやらないと
なかなか「うまく進まない＝楽しめない」って感じがあったのであまり
プレイ出来ませんでした。（ガンガンお金を追加投入出来るほどお金もなかったし）

そしてキチンとした移植はメガドライブぐらいにしかなく、それもあまり
出回らなかった感があって、私も含めて「え！メガドライブで出てたの？」って人も
多いはずです。（私はつい最近になって知ったので、当然ＭＤ版は未購入）

その伝説のゲームがようやくＰＳ２という現代のハードでプレイできるって
ことで衝動買いしました。

結果は・・・「ガントレット」変わってないです。
って言うか相変わらず難しすぎ・・・。
玉砕しました。（ＰＳ２版は当然、難易度調整可能！）

これから「マーブルマッドネス」や「ペーパーボーイ」とか他のゲームも
ゆっくり楽しみます。

ただし、まったく個人的な症状かもしれませんが・・・私の持っている２台の
ＰＳ２のうち初代のＰＳ２では読みとりが出来ずにプレイ出来ませんでした！！！

私はたまたま新型のＰＳ２も持っていましたが、もし仮にＰＳ２の型番によって
プレイ不可能な仕様だった場合には、購入したもののまったくプレイ不可能なんて
事態も考えられるので、初期型のＰＳ２をつかってる方には注意が必要かと思います。
ほんとうにまったく個人的な症状なのかもしれないのですが、購入したのにプレイ出来ない
のでは悲しすぎるので、参考になればと思って書きました。　要確認！！！
